Unfortunately, I was incredibly disappointed with the customer service at this Ulta location. I usually enjoy my experience at Ulta stores and shopping online. Today, I was faced with rude service after attempting to buy a Vichi cream that was in their clearance section. The item
rung up full price, so I asked about it. The manager was brought over and I calmly showed her that there were at least 5 of the same item all labeled with the marked down price. She dismissed me and said it was a mistake. I asked if I could still buy the product due of the error thinking that it shouldn’t be on the customer for this mistake. She was extremely sharp about it. I actually would have had more understanding and left having a completely different experience if she explained it kindly. I did not appreciate the rude undertones throughout our interaction. You should be able to feel welcomed into an Ulta, a company that takes pride in inclusivity, and leave feeling warm, wanting to come back. I hope they do better.

Two things 1) Go Joe! A Super sweet employee who saw my hesitancy to by an expensive product- and recommended me something more in my price range. 2) They greet you when you enter and leave!

I went in to purchase some product and then decided to get a trim at the salon
Worse decision ever.. it cost $42 for the stylist to just trim the bottom of my hair
And told her I wanted just about 1/2 inch off
She took off more than 3 inches off and did a horrible job my hair isn’t close to even, so disappointed..I would not recommend Ulta Beauty salon to anyone.. should of known better when the hair stylist looks like she needed a hair stylist herself

I was in desperate need of a haircut and the two salons I usually go to were closed. I booked a haircut with Eme. Upon arriving, Eme introduced herself and said another stylist had called out, and that she was going to cut my hair. Strange, since I had booked with Eme. While washing my hair, Eme asked if I wanted the deep conditioning treatment. I asked how much it was and she went to go check. I declined the treatment. The haircut went fine. While she was blowing out my hair, she asked if I wanted it blown out straight. I said sure. Upon checking out, I noticed my bill was $20 more than what it should have been, so I brought it to Eme's attention. She said since I had my hair blown out straight, it was an additional $20. That was not communicated to me and the haircut I booked included a wash, style and blowdry. I explained I did not see the need to be charged an extra $20, since she was blowing it out anyway and did not disclose any additional pricing to me. She quickly took it off the bill, but was clearly irritated in doing so. I paid up front and left. The haircut was average and I'm leaving a review for the shady way she tried to sneak in an upcharge. You need to be transparent regarding your pricing. Don't automatically do a service without communicating the increase in price. Other people might not check, but I did check. The overall experience was not as nice as a salon, so charging anything more than the listed price of $42 seems shady and money-grabby.

I've been a ulta lover and shopper for years!But, had to rant and rave about KATEY!! she was LITERALLY the best! Great style and saved me bukoos of money! What a gem! Us Texas gals have to stick together!

Both my sister and I shop at ulta-her being an employee of a neighboring store finds her there more often than myself. Nevertheless, we have both had very pleasant experiences at this particular location. So much so, that we have built friendly rapports with several of the employees, Katie, Coco, and Sara just to name a few. Usually we are greeted and asked if there’s anything we can find, other than that we are usually left to shop and explore. There are usually employees in various aisles stocking or doing whatever the day requires of them but they are always so friendly. I have been to a few ultas but the Schenectady location is by far my favorite. And my sisters as well!

I love the products the company has to offer, however the customer service is definitely lacking. On several occasions I stopped into this specific store for hair/skin care and every time I have been followed. It's either I am followed whenever I go in the store or I have an associate in the same aisle as me acting like they are either stocking (with one or two items) or face fronting products. Now I understand my specific products is in the back of the store but I've noticed the teenagers are not followed at all while I am shopping. Not to say they're going to steal but I'm in my late thirties and everytime I am made to feel uncomfortable. Now I reached out to corporate about the issue and it was forwarded to the "Experience manager" for this location. She acted as though she called me but there was absolutely no follow up although I was informed there will be. The only interaction that was positive was with a male manager from a year ago. He understood the products I needed and offered some product knowledge. Word of mouth goes a long way and this store isn't it.

It’s not easy to find a hair stylist, but somehow, Eme made it super easy! I was able to book an appointment online. She called me to confirm. I went in for my appointment, showed Eme the cut I wanted and asked her to make me a strawberry blonde. She did a fantastic job! I love my cut, and she fixed the lousy balayage job my previous stylist did. I am locking her in as my permanent stylist. Thank you Eme <3 Ulta is lucky to have you!
