These guys are great - reasonably priced, friendly, and knowledgeable. As a woman, it's one place I can go to and not feel taken advantage of. I've been taking my cars there for over 5 years. The staff in the store are also friendly and helpful. I fully recommend this business.

Incredible service that is honest and fair and the people who run the shop are very nice, they did my brakes and some other maintenance and I was extremely happy with the service, communication level was amazing and they were fast. I am thoroughly impressed with Nott Street auto repair. I've taken my vehicle there a few times. The most recent visit was for my vehicle miss fire. I had to take it back on Friday due to the problem continuing. The shop was unexpectedly closed that day, so I was going to have to wait until Monday. Oh well, I thought. They surprised me by coming in before a long weekend vacation, just to repair my vehicle. I was very impressed by their work ethic. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else.Services: Engine repair

I've been going to Nott Street Auto since 2017 and Henry is far and away the best mechanic I've ever encountered. He's honest, prompt, clear, expert, and reasonably prices everything. The only challenge is that because of this, he's often booked well in advance and so you need to call a few days early to see if he has availability. Also be aware that Henry does maintenance, not cosmetic repairs (I learned this after a minor collision).Services: Tires

if I could give it 0 stars I would. this morning my car was hit and I pulled over and in to this station. it was a hit and run leaving my tire flat. luckily for me the only silver lining in this was I am a very small woman but I have changed my tire before. I initially looked around but the shop seemed to be closed. I knew I needed a new tire and figured an auto body shop would be my silver lining. I was wrong. the place seemed to be closed. so I took a breath very shaken and just made the calls I needed and then began to set up to change my tire. once my equally as small (get strong as hell) sister showed up the man from the shop appeared. at first I thought how kind of him to check. wrong. he yelled at me told me to get off his property and to change my tire in traffic. he said I don't want to be an ass but you're not capable of changing this tire. so get off my property. the car couldn't even really move. I was hoping to not have it towed. but trying to assess it. he got in my face and when I burst into tears from anger he backed off. I ended up having my car towed to a good auto body shop. they were much kinder. don't support this man.

Rude employee making snotty remarks. Sat in the parking lot for two minutes waiting for my uncle to drop his vehicle off to get serviced and someone came out and bashed on me for "taking up the whole space" but was only there for no longer than 2 minutes...just unprofessional behavior all around.

I've taken 2 vehicles in so far, 2 or 3 times each - based on my brother's recommendation. Prices have been around industry standard, which is ok. What I like is they've identified the issues and fixed them without pushing anything extra. They use Napa for parts which I feel are usually much better than what the other retail parts stores offer. (Eg, Napa oil filters are made by WIX, A HREAT PRODUCT). More pricey but worth the investment. And especially important, the work has been done when they said it would. National muffler and brake shops have corporate pressure to sell you up, over load theIR mechanics so work gets big delays, and even charge for work that doesn't get done at all, or done wrong. They might have good employees but that. Corporate pressure means more risk. At Nott St they've identified issues and advised it's beyond their skill set, or that they don't have time right away, if that's the case. Being local means no pressure from above, which so far has meant a good, accurate experience, and I've been pleased with the cars' performance, handling, quiet, etc when they are done.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Let me start off with my story! Adirondack's on Central Ave "Supposedly" fixed put new brakes on my 2016 Jeep Patriot. However shortly after there was a squealing sound coming from my rear. Numerous occasions i had called Adirondack's to check the issue. All they kept doing was cleaning the brakes and saying " The brake pads were too thick and i needed to drive until it's past a certain point"... Long story short- My drums and shoes were destroyed due to overtightening. First place i called was Nott St Auto Service for a second opinion and thank god i did. Henry found that there were no brake pads, brake grease and that my drums had bad scoring and uneven friction. If i didn't get my second opinion i could have gotten into an accident or even worse my wheel barring would have been effected and more work would have been needed. Henry fixed my drums, shoes and brakes and the noise is no longer there. By far the best experience! They have gained my respect and a new customer. Adirondack has lost my service and those of my family now.

Hank and crew are so reliable and fair. It's very hard to find an auto mechanic that you can trust especially being a woman. I trust Hank 100%. If you're looking for auto mechanic I highly recommend Nott Street auto. Give them a try.
