Do not hire for custom work. I had a terrible experience with Ethan Allen in the Consultation process, the install process - who got the coloring and measurements wrong in a space he helped me with - charged me $12,000 for it all and I can’t use any of it. They should be ashamed of themselves, I would seriously recommend another company with a good reputation, it’s not worth the risk.

The chairs so good (low, deep, wide at front, narrow toward back), we had to get them twice! Being familiar with the style of the chairs I wanted, it was a refreshing experience to work with Maxwell to review fabrics and wood tones to create the final product. His expertise and knowledge guided me to the right decision. Ethan Allen furniture is an investment and the overall experience was positive. I was impressed with the delivery time as well as the finished product. The chairs far surpassed my expectations. Thank you, Maxwell. Your talent shines through and you are a valuable asset to EA.

Excellent couch, exactly as we had hoped. Getting a delivery date when we were home was tricky, as we live in Vermont and they only shipped in twice per month for deliveries.

We ordered two sofas while we were having our house built. The sofas were ready way before the house was. Ethan Allen was great about keeping them until we could have them delivered. Once the house was completed, they came in a week and are perfect. Great quality and looks!

Not thrilled with our experience at Ethan Allen. We ordered a dresser, nightstands and a desk. We were told by our designer (Ronni) that all EA furniture is made with soft closing drawers. Not only does the dresser not have them, the drawers do not close smoothly and one will not close fully. Definitely not what you’d expect for a $4,000 dresser. Now she has left so we are apparently out of luck. Customer service is seriously lacking and overall the quality is not what I would have expected for the price. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Eric was a great help to me in choosing the right pieces for my living room. He came by the house and saw exactly the area I was buying for. His recommendations were spot on and took into consideration the other furniture I already had in the room. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for direction in reworking an area of your home. He has a great eye!
