Cosmoprof is supposed to be for “ professionals” only. Meaning you must have a license to shop there, either cosmetology or skin care or barber. Funny thing is how the so called manager is not licensed in any field of the industry. This does not seem right to deny paying customers from shopping there when the stores own employees (manager if you want to call her that) Also the district manager is another uneducated individual in the industry. I find this to be upsetting and extremely wrong! Every person working there should be licensed! Anyway the store is closing down.. the fired the licensed employees less then a year ago and look where it got them.. Closing their doors!!! That’s what they get for their horrific treatment of loyal employees and replacing them with uneducated workers. Troy store was closed recently too… maybe corporate should take a look at who is managing these stores and replace that person with someone who knows what their doing.. and fyi, the prices at cosmoprof are higher then any other beauty supply. Your better off going on Amazon .

I’ve hesitated writing this review for years because I don’t frequent this location often, but I just can’t keep my mouth shut anymore and I’m SURE I’m not alone.Every time I have to visit this location (last resort, Wolf Road is my go-to), I have to mentally prepare before I even set foot in the door. There is one specific employee I do not look forward to interacting with, and while I’m sure she means well, I can’t for the life of me understand how she still maintains employment with this company.She is the most unprofessional retail worker I’ve ever encountered, has absolutely zero respect for anyone else’s time, inserts her unsolicited opinions any chance she gets regarding whatever you’re purchasing, will straight up stop mid-transaction to hold a full fledged conversation with someone else - be it someone in the store, a coworker or on the phone - she actually answered her cell phone (it did not sound like an emergency, although I could be mistaken), walked away after scanning 3/11 items on the counter without any warning and was gone for 7 minutes. When she returned to finish the transaction, she offered no apology or explanation, just kept scanning like nothing happened.I do not want to continue avoiding this store due to one employee’s lack of self awareness. I work 3 miles away and I purposely go down to Wolf Road to avoid interacting with her. The last straw was arriving on a Sunday a few weeks back, right before 12:00pm when the store opens, only for her to roll up at 12:08, lock the door behind her, and not unlock it again until she was finished “opening” at nearly 12:20pm.I can’t be the only person to complain about this woman (she’s much older than the other employees, the kind of person you can’t miss or forget). She IS nice and helpful in her own way, but her unprofessionalism is unmatched. If Cosmoprof values customer experience in the least, please consider overhauling the team at your Altamont Avenue store.

Good selection for hair products, etc. Drawback is that your hairstylist can only shop there but I go with him.
