My fuel pump failed 280 miles from home on N.Y. Thruway in late afternoon. Tow truck driver brought me to Ankers, who had me back on the road in 24 hours. I won’t be able to use them again, but I’d recommend them to anyone. Also thanks to tow truck driver for taking me there.

Car started leaking transmission fluid on the highway, had to get towed. Didn't know the area, asked the tow truck operator for advice where to take it, he advised Anker's. Took his advice, and was thankful for it. Dave Anker and his crew got me fixed up and back on my way in no time. Extremely cordial, knowledgeable, and competitively priced. Was more than pleased with my experience.
On a side note, while I was waiting another customer, an older gentleman, struck up a conversation with me. He was singing Anker's praises. Though it was my first experience with them, I have no doubt he was right. Thanks Dave and crew for making my tough situation go as smoothly as possible. Much appreciated.

I had a great experience at Anker’s Auto service. The Service is very organized and reliable. My car was inspected meticulously and got free refills. The information about its status was true. Being a women, is not fun to go to car shops, they usually try to trick me and make me buy services that my car didn’t need just because they wanted to make money of me. But in Anker’s auto service It’s the first time I receive such an honest feedback.

I had a car emergency and the dealer wanted me to wait a week before they would see me. Anker's Auto Service got me in within 48 hours, found the problem, and replaced the part in less than two hours. They are prompt, professional, and courteous and I would recommend them to anyone!

Referred by a happy customer of Anker’s Auto Service, i just had my car repaired there today. fast diagnosis/estimate phone call. fast repair!! In at 8AM, fixed and home by 2PM.

I have used Anker's Auto Service for three years, and the service is always good and reliable! They did inspection on my car yesterday. I was not aware that my braking light on the rear window was broken, but the technician changed it for me for free and notified me of the work. I believed that they treat their customers very well and I really appreciated their extraordinary work. Thank you!

Anker’s Auto is amazing. They really take good care of women especially. I have been there several times thinking it was something horrific, and they took time and explained things. They never took advantage or tried to hustle me out of money, even when they may have had every opportunity to do so. They are a complete delight and I feel safe knowing they have my back.

Recently, we moved to the Schenectady area after a lifetime on the West coast near San Francisco. I’d retired, closed my Auto Repair shop after 41 years, and moved 3,000 miles East with my spouse to be near family. Grasping the fact that I could no longer avoid recognizing that I was a senior citizen, with some mobility and health issues, I manned up and made plans to get the car looked over. Being on the ‘other’ side of the service counter was a “new kid in class’ sort of trepidation for me, but it is what it is. So we made plans to get the car inspected and serviced. Having heard great things about Ankers Auto Service, we made an appointment.
Dave was affable, a good listener, and I was immediately put at ease that this could be a good fit. For the sake of brevity, I will try to only hit the high points. We are talking ‘ Old School’ here. They performed a full service and safety inspection, plus did the NY required annual inspection. They took care of a few small maintenance/repair items and the best part was they gave the vehicle that I had purchased without having a pre-purchase inspection ( out of necessity), a glowing overall bill of health.
To say this was a big thing, would be an understatement. No upsells. No “ You’d better sit down to hear the news.” What we did get was a bill that was way less than I had anticipated and some flowers to take home to the missus. I think this firm is a “Bit of ‘Alright’ as they say. I don’t think that it is allowed, but I’m giving Ankers 12 stars anyway and 2 thumbs up. Next visit some body work freshening. Thank You, Ankers Auto Service !!!!

Had a flat tire with a big chunk of wood in it and they were so professional and parched it up so quickly. Will be coming back for my auto repairs

Very unreasonable to deal with. Dave Ankers brought a car to our facility for repairs even though he owns this repair shop. Brought his own parts to us, which we did not recommend installing as they were aftermarket and he wanted us to install and then he tried to make us warranty the parts we did not sell or supply when they failed. He left us a 1 star review despite the fact that he couldn't even repair his own vehicle and did not like what we had to say. Just an FYI we have 4 BMW certified master techs on staff.
