Course was in great condition for opening dayupdate....always in great shape.. we had a lot of rain recently and even though it's still wet, the course is on great shape. always enjoy a round here

Course is in very good condition. No idea what the starter is doing if anything!!!Doubles allowed back to back instead making a foursome. Another twosome with 1 set of clubs. Dress code ignored. Total chaos on the course! 1 ranger tried but damage was done! Starter needs to actually do his job!!

I've been going to Saxon Woods for years and recently returned to playing golf. I like the putting green an area to chip and the driving range. After practicing I had food at the restaurant and it was delicious. I had a turkey club and a cold beer outside on the patio overlooking the putting green. It was a beautiful day I felt like I was at a country club. I recommend it to others.

I've played multiple rounds here over the years. For a muni course, its in good condition given the number of rounds played. There is a starter who cared about pace of play, although it gets a bit slow on some tees.A mature "old school" course typical of Westchester. It follows the contours of the land and is easily walkable, if so inclined. Well wooded and quite scenic. I particularly like the 3rd par 5.I didn't use the restaurant or bar, but it was full and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Course is in good shape but the greens have little black beads or crumb rubber throughout so when you putt the ball picks it up similar to aerated greens.The most disappointing thing is that I left my range finder in the cart and I have called about it but was told it was not found. This is hard to believe since I watched the guy at the front desk admit to me he attempted to up-charge a lady who was paying for her group, all of whom didn't speak English very well. He said he knew what she was referring to but wanted her to mention it properly. She even had the exact dollar amount in her hands of what the cost was supposed to be. I will not be coming back when I cannot trust the employees.

Saxon Woods is a wonderful Westchester Public golf course and restaurant. The fairways and greens are in great shape. The course is difficult enough for very good players but also lenient for newer players. A fun and scenic course, with great prices on discounted websites like GolfNow and TeeOff. The restaurant offers typical pub dining in a nice outside environment.Played my first round here this year (4/2023). The course is in great shape and wonderful to play.

Still in great shape. Good combination of length and target golf. Clubs hazards have been cleaned up to increase visual appeal

I went to the bar a grill. We ordered nachos and wings. Nachos were reallllllyyyyy good. The chili wasn’t spicy. I wish the cheese was a cheese sauce, however. The wings were SOOOO crispy. We got sauce on the side because I am particular about my bbq sauce. The sauce was the style I liked so I was please!

booked the last tee time for the day to go out and play with my daughter that is almost 4 to get her famil with the game as she played at the range many times. i was told she is not allowed to go out though it says that no where on the website. for a place that does junior clinics this is very disapppunting. had i known this i wouldn't have booked this course.

Beautiful by property. The restaurant closes at 7:00. Would do more business if they extended the hours. Lovely place to have a light bite.
