Went today for appraisal and silver chain repair. Repair was done on site while waiting!Lovely, friendly gentleman, very knowledgeable.Sells watches, batteries/bands in addition to jewelry. Will definitely go back!

I have been using Arbre D'Or for years. Jay is a delightful man anxious to meet your jewelry needs. I use him primarily for jewelry repairs and appraisals. He always does a fine job and his fees are very reasonable. He makes the process easy by calling on the phone to discuss options or a problem. I would recommend him to anyone.

Brought a watch in to see if it can be repaired. It's a mechanical piece with a date pointer which was misaligned. I would have accepted "Sorry, I wouldn't be comfortable working on your piece" or "I don't know how to fix your watch". But instead, I got "I don't touch these because it's made in China" and "Your watch is fake".That's cute. My watch is a Swiss-made Maurice Lacroix purchased from an authorized dealer and was serviced 6 years ago by a Maurice Lacroix service center. Needless to say, I found his comments disrespectful and condescending.If you need your watch battery or strap changed, I'm sure he'll do a good job, as would anyone with a $10 watch repair kit from Amazon. But if you have a mechanical watch, find someplace else.Edit: Shop owner responded to my review. He still claims my watch is a fake with no evidence. That's just ignorant and exposes his lack of horological knowledge. And called me a j**** unprovoked I should add. Read my review again; not once did I make a personal attack on him. How interesting. I wasn't going to do more but now I will make every effort to share my experience across as many platforms as possible.

I have known the owner for over 20 years. He is kind, wonderful, very skilled at doing all kinds of repairs, and changes watch batteries for you while you’re waiting. I have gotten some beautiful jewelry and watches from him as gifts for friends and family. I have recommended him to friends and they have left all kinds of repairs and custom work with him, even ones that no one else in Scarsdale could do, and the owner was able to do them. I don’t trust jewelers very easily, but I highly recommend him. 10 stars if I could!

I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for somebody to take care of my jewelry and glasses. If it wasn’t for Jay, I wouldn’t know what I would do. He has fixed every item to perfection from Glasses to Watches to change and bracelets, and I do not trust him with cheap material. Everything that I own is very valuable and there has never been a problem.

Jay is an excellent jeweler. He a sweet, kind and treats everyone fairly. It’s disturbing to see 1 bad review. I think the problem is with the other person.
