We had an incredible tour here with Sara. We had five children along and she was so patient, moving at the kids' pace and making it so special for everyone. We felt like we got to know each animal.

What a beautiful place filled with so many happy animals! The people who work and volunteer there are so kind, and filled with so much useful information. We three enjoyed the tour so much, especially my daughter who got kisses from Anya the cow!
We are open for Public Tours on Saturdays from April-November. We are open for Private Tours year-round BY RESERVATION ONLY. ALL TOUR TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE. NO DROP-IN VISITS OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED. This is to ensure the safety of our rescued animals as well as our guests & staff members.
Founded in 2001, Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit, 148-acre refuge in New York's Hudson Valley. We provide a home to ten species of rescued farmed animals with between 200 and 400 residents at any given time. In addition to direct animal aid, the Sanctuary offers on-site tours and educational programs that advocate veganism as the very best way to end animal suffering, improve human health, and heal an ailing planet.
