This guy is a complete scam he tells you one thing and then changes everything up. Steve is the worst manager of a hotel I have ever seen and his hotel is not worth staying in at all. He tries to take advantage of people. This hotel is trash.................. I see why others say what they say about him I should have read all the negative reviews first my fault........

The rooms in our building were still under construction when we stayed and unbeknown to us and later found out that the Saratoga building dept issued a work stoppage for multiple code violations and it should not have been open for rent. Wires were exposed, leaking bathroom, insulation exposed, and so so much more. Sadly, I ended up reporting the hotel management to the POLICE for their harassing phone calls using nothing but a series of 4 letter words at 1:30AM weeks after our stay. I hope one day they get their act together. It could be a great place under new ownership.

If I could leave a zero, I would. we rented that brand new chalet for three nights. It was not finished, no Wi-Fi, no TV, and I didn't get a face cloth until the last night. They didn't clean our rooms and said that we left the do not disturb on the door knob, we did not. The office was never open and you couldn't get in touch with them, it was dirty, loose wires, loose bricks, no trim and lots of trip hazards. We must've gone to the office 25 times and called him multiple times nobody was ever there. There were three other couples out in the parking lot complaining about them as well with a lot of the same issues, I open the vanity in the bathroom and there was cans and bunch of cups with leftover soda and then wood chips and sawdust. We tried to contact him before we left to see if we could get at least a discount. He simply left us a message that I was not happy, and that the credit card is already been charged. Thank you for staying with us. There were multiple code violations and they should never have rented it to us.

We love staying here! Great location, rooms are extremely clean with nice kitchen/dining area, comfy beds and free wifi. Walk to downtown Saratoga or the state park and SPAC. The owner Steve is very nice and helpful. We've stayed in Saratoga many times and this place is by far the best value and best location!

No accommodations for emergency cancelation. Made a last minute reservation and tried to cancel the next day and the owner would not accommodate.

I was considering a few nights' stay at your establishment while my family and I were up until I saw the signs regarding unhoused people seeking donations from passers by. Big turnoff for me. You need to rethink this. I agree that desperation can feel ugly, aggressive, and uncomfortable when we experience it. I can understand that you, your staff, and your patrons may not have the skills and empathy to engage constructively. That's where the work comes in. Your claims are factually incorrect. You have mischaracterized the shelter and those members of our community who remain unhoused. The messaging is also aggressive and in poor taste. I encourage you to do some research and apply a smarter modality to your business model. Houselessness does neither lead to addiction, violence, or criminal activity nor is it the other way around. Correlation is not causation. There are plenty of housed and moneyed residents and visitors in Saratoga who suffer the same problems. The shelter is a stopgap, not a solution. By the way, have you donated to the shelter? The solution is stable housing. the solution is addressing systemic poverty. You own a lodging business. Would you consider offering a free room for an unhoused person in the city? How about a meal from your kitchen? Or a donation of convenience foods and hygienic supplies. You could even consider paying them to sweep the parking lot or sort the trash. Several hotels in the Capital Region do this. Much of this could even be written off your taxes or funded by aid organizations -- but that is not the point. I also read the TU article. If you keep kicking the can down the road to Stewart's, the shelter, and the city you are part of the problem. Open doors work better than signs. Compassion works better than complaining. Violence begets violence. Consider how your actions continue a cycle of desperation and violence against people who already have nowhere to go. Be part of a solution instead of making it somebody else's problem. Until then, I'll let everyone I know to spread the word and avoid spending their money at Stay Saratoga. Now is your chance. Do better.

Stayed here approximately two weeks total; the location is perfect! Walk to beautiful downtown Saratoga in minutes to all the excellent shops and restaurants. The owner is accommodating and available should you need him. Clean and oh!!! Amazing water pressure in the shower! Rooms have Keurigs too so keep that in mind. Stovetops for cooking and full size fridges too

I decided to book a last minute trip; first time visit to Saratoga. Little did I know, I picked the busiest weekend of the year "Travers Day". Stay Saratoga not only had the best rate for the most amenities, but they had really solid reviews. Upon arrival, Steve was very welcoming & gave us some solid tips/advice on local spots. The deluxe double was very clean, big & directly across from the jacuzzi & firepit. Stove, microwave, Keurig, full-sized refrigerator, two tables, outside sitting space with rocking chairs, ironing board/iron, blow dryer, small toiletries, free Netflix. What more could you ask for? They also have gym equipment, basketball, a pool table, bocce ball & are walking distance to EVERYTHING. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Don't believe the negative reviews at all... I am glad I ignored them.

Before today I would have given this place a 3 or 4 star review. My first stay was great (not breakfast) but close to everything and relatively clean. I booked a room and paid a deposit in Feb 2020 for a concert in July 2020. Due to COVID, the concerts were postponed to 2021. I called the hotel and spoke to Stephen (owner) and switched the dates to July 2021. Today, the concert schedule came out and the concert has been postponed until Sept 2021. My husband and I have a wedding to attend and cannot make it to the concert. I emailed Stephen to cancel my reservation and to get my deposit back. He said I didn't pay one...I sent the receipt. He said I cancelled too late....I forwarded the email that was sent 2 months prior to my planned stay (well within the cancellation window). He said he wouldn't refund a cancellation that happened a year ago...I reminded him I didn't cancel, I changed the date and if he considered it a cancel... he should have refunded me then. His "final offer" was a credit for September...seriously dude I just said I couldn't go! The guy is a true scumbag! Read the reviews on other platforms!! Not good...what was I thinking? According to Yelp it says this place is closed!! I hope it is. Stay clear and warn your friends!!
