Chow Bella Saratoga
50 West Ave, Saratoga SpringsI am so pleased with this place! My dachshund typically doesn’t do well for nail trims and they handled him great without even needing to muzzle. I could also tell he was much less stressed going here than anywhere else for this afterwards. I think her name was Mandy who did him, but everyone was so friendly. We’ll definitely be coming here from now on!

Benson's Pet Center
3083 NY-50, Saratoga SpringsI absolutely love this store and will not buy pet products anywhere else aside from maybe one thing. We have two dogs and a cat. We got a new puppy last year, a huge handful. He was a biter, a fighter, a chewer, a playful boy and always hungry. Our trainer suggested an item that we could only find at Bensons and from there we were hooked. They have the best toys, high quality, tough options for dogs who are rough on toys. We can't find toys anywhere else that our dogs can safely use. They have so many options for chews and treats, now both dogs can chew away their anxiety when needed and who doesn't love treats? Lately we discovered our dogs have food allergies, severe in many ways. The staff at Bensons have gone above and beyond with their knowledge and expertise to help us find a safe and affordable solution for our fur kids. They've spent a lot of time lately discussing our dogs issues with me and going through all of the options available. If something didnt work, they were there to help. Our dogs are no longer having allergic reactions and are as happy as can be. Also, they always have our cats favorite treats in stock and tons of his favorite toys. Every time we go in the store we're greeted with smiles and someone is always there to help. It's a great store and really beats the big name places. Highly recommended from our family to yours.

Pet Grooming
Dirty Dog, Inc
42 Park Pl, Saratoga SpringsHighly recommend Dirty Dogs By Liz Grooming! We have been using this groomer every 6 weeks for years after moving from NYC. My dog Bella is a Pomeranian Mix with lots of hair! She always comes out looking wonderful! You can tell Liz really love animals and is very talented with all types of grooming techniques and styles. We just added a Mini Goldendoodle to our family and immediately brought him to Liz! This breed tends to get matted hair very easily, so we are working on keeping him brushed, getting him use to the grooming in general and scheduling every 4/6 week visits to keep his hair beautiful. The shop is clean inside and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Wonderful communication always start to finish. I never have to worry about my animals leaving them there for their haircuts. I Definitely recommend for anyone who is in the market for a new groomer!

Glamour Paws
2 Carpenter Ln, Saratoga SpringsMegan, at Glamour Paws has been my groomer for several years. Before Megan my two small timid pups were terrified to go to the Vets or Groomer’s. Once we met Megan it was like night and day. She’s very gentle, soft spoken and kind, after one visit my pups were no longer anxious or afraid. I have a new puppy now and Megan is a wonderful with her. She’s a great groomer, my pups never looked better. I recommend her highly.

Pet Care
Hearthstone Veterinary Hospital
826 NY-29, Saratoga SpringsHi…so my grandma had a dog named cinnamon…cinnamon would come over to my house on the weekends when we moved out of my grandma and grandpas house…my grandma has taken her dogs to this vet.for years…even though her dog moved in with me and became my dog me and my mom still take cinnamon to the same vet…we try and take my dog when my grandmas working as an assistant there bc my dog will refuse to go in unless my grandmas there…today march 27 of 2024 she has a major surgery..she got some of her teeth removed and her nails clipped and a lump on her leg removed for a biopsy…my grandma picked me and my dog up at 8:00 AM and my grandma brought my dog in the vet I stayed in the car bc if I have anxiety and my dog can sense it…the surgery lasted a couple hours I’m pretty sure…I was a little mad tho bc my grandma said to call them at 3:00 to see how cinnamon is and then go and pick her up…we called and Karen answered the phone she said my grandma was there and was gonna bring her mom they didn’t call to tell us or anything…so we didn’t know…and they new that me and my mom were gonna pick up my dog but they still called my grandma and my grandma wasn’t expecting it either she said…so that’s the only reason I’m a little mad and I guess u could say I was frustrated…but it’s whatever besides that I love the vet there great with my dog I love em…they were also very supportive when I had to put my cat down on 2/19/2024…Colin hugged me and Karen did the foot prints and nose print and patty explained what she was doing with the shots so that I knew when to say goodbye . ?

Springs Family Veterinary Hospital
9 Hampstead Pl Suite 105, Saratoga SpringsDr. Ryan and the entire staff here are absolutely incredible!! I’ve been bringing my dog Stella here since I adopted her and have made going to the vet as positive an experience as it could be for a nervous rescue pup! Dr. Ryan went above and beyond treating Stella’s heartworm last year and I am so happy to see that there are two new vets at the practice! We just saw Dr. Piel for the first time and she was just as kind and patient!!

Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Saratoga
63 Henning Rd, Saratoga SpringsI have nothing but good things to say about Rood and Riddle. The vet (Dr. Messak) who came to the stable where I keep my horse was very knowledgeable, as one would expect from Rood and Riddle. My horse is an older gentleman, and she listened when I told her he did not handle sedation well, and gave him just the right amount. She did an excellent job on the procedures he needed (teeth float, etc) and she prescribed medication for the arthritis in his hind legs. She was very patient and answered all my nutrition questions for an older horse. The staff is also VERY friendly and arranged a quick appointment for him, and the staff member who handles the follow up prescriptions was extremely efficient and went above and beyond to make sure he gets his meds and is comfortable. Thank you!

Palette Community
480 Broadway, Saratoga SpringsI needed a space where I could focus on getting my work done. On the day I visited The Palette (Saratoga Springs), I was nervous, but those fears soon disappeared. I was greeted warmly by Marcella, the COO. She introduced me to two other visitors and we spent the next two hours just learning about each other. By the end of that meeting, I knew I was going to become a member. The Saratoga Springs location is right in the heart of bustling Broadway. It's the perfect location. There are several shared spaces, a few small rooms, and some larger rooms. You can reserve a room ahead of time in case you need to jump on a Zoom call or have a meeting. There is also a small kitchen area that is stocked with water, tea, snacks, and wine! That's such a nice touch. As a member, you have access to a new printer. The Palette has two locations. I've only been to the one in Saratoga Springs. The other location is in Schenectady. I'm excited that The Palette holds many networking events. It's a great way to meet like minded people. If you need a co-working space, look no further. I highly recommend joining The Palette.

882 NY-29, Saratoga SpringsI've always stopped here for ice cream and lines move quickly and flavors are delicious. I decided to try a meal this time. I went inside to order. They have long, shareable tables. Ordered philly cheese sandwich which was fantastic, with sweet potato fries.
Place seemed a bit dreary/run down inside. Staff very friendly, prices reasonable.

Terrific staff and ownership!
Delicious coffee, tea, iced tea, breakfast sandwiches and yogurt parfait. We've had dozens and never been disappointed by food /drinks. They use quality ingredients, many local.
My only request is: pls have real honey (not the watered down syrup) at the milk /sugar bar for adding to tea /coffee!
Pro tip : the Whitman brewery that is attached is also fantastic. Walt in the morning, Whitman in the evening :)

Eddie F's New England Seafood Restaurant
119 Clinton St, Saratoga SpringsWe drove off the interstate, looking for a sit-down place to eat. We found this restaurant, and as a seafood lover, I was extremely pleased!
I had a tough decision ordering fried clams, with or without belly...
I went without and longed for the belly.
The fried class was great, and I ordered onion rings and clowslaw.
The onion rings were lightly flowered, and the clowslaw was not sweet, no vinegar, and not heavily wet...it was great as well.
I could only eat half of my order.
And I had a fresh made canolli and coffee to finish the meal.
I would easily recommend Eddie F's any time.
Don't forget that seafood is not cheap, so don't whine.
The staff was friendly and courteous.
Hope to come back someday.
As always, if you enjoyed my review, don't forget to smash the "Like" button.
Thank you, and enjoy!
Oh, sorry for no pictures, I left my phone in my car...

Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.)
3065 NY-50, Saratoga SpringsWe adopted Suzie (formally Lily) from HOPE. They did vet references and everything. You can tell they truly care about where the animals are going. My only complaint would be you picked a cat and they told us to go take a little walk to make sure he was the one we wanted. We were gone five minutes and someone else was already adopting him. However, I feel like it was meant to be because Suzie fit right into our little family. A few months after we got her, we were given a six week old husky pit mix and now even with a 50 pound weight difference they are best friends and cuddle on the couch together. Their adoption center at the mall was clean. They tried to match the potential adopters to the animal and were super friendly. I love that you have to sign a contract That the cat must be an indoor cat only. If anything ever happened they are always a HOPE cat and will take them back if anything happened (we have no plan to EVER get rid of Suzie. Once a family member, always a family member. I just love the policy.) It just proves their love for the animals in their care.
