I attempted to hire them for a move however their insurance and equipment were inadequate. It's their side hustle and you can't hate it however, while professional to a degree the quality of the interaction was what you should expect. Not a fully professional service but more of men for hire.So I give them a three for their moxy and the good interaction.Gentlemen, level up -you can earn more fives.

Our estimating experience was good - responsive and accurate. The initial move and temporary storage of our items went well. The long distance move was quite another story. Boxes marked "fragile" were crushed. Boxes marked "top load" (don't put anything on top of them) were crushed. Furniture and walls and floors were scratched. The initial call about the problem was met with a calm and reassuring voice. Yet there have been no resolution to our claim in the last five months. Emails and telephone calls go unreturned. When word does come back, the promised actions do not happen. I cannot recommend this business except, perhaps, to the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's Office.

I had a mini moving urgent need and they were very responsive. The movers were professional, polite and helpful. I would recommend their service.

We would not recommend Liedkie Movers for several reasons: 1. Items arrived damaged and many large and small items were missing. 2. The manager is arrogant and would not listen to us. He was not customer friendly. 3. They did not reimburse $$ for the value of the items, but gave you $.30 per pound. 4. Anthony, the man who arrived to evaluate the cost of the move, did not explain the contract that we were signing. Kind of sketchy in explaining the whole situation regarding the move. He was aloof and not very professional in his approach. 5. Liedkie had a good reputation years ago and so the new owners carried on using the Liedkie name, but Liedkie actually sold the business years ago.New owners have been a disappointment. 6. Be aware of what you sign in the contract. 7. Look else where for a more trustworthy and honest company.

Don't let these so-called professionals & a seamlesss" move from one location to storage to another location fool you. These movers moved me efficiently into 11-month storage -- & that was the last I saw of a ladderback chair & numerous boxes of miscellaneous goods, including irreplacable family heirlooms & an entire bookcase of texts I need for my professional (English professor). These items were all clearly listed & tagged with numbered stickers on the original Household Goods Inventory. Upon unloading my possession to my new location, movers did move some boxes, all labeled, into correct locations. Others, they simply tossed/ packed/jammed into garage without regard of "Fragile" signs. Boxes were stacked on top of one another (often crushed) & there was barely a path for convenient unpacking by myself. And who knew at this messy point that stuff was damaged or broken or even lost. Yet, I signed the document Households Goods Inventory (never told that I couldn't sign, again, signaling poor communication) & wrongly assumed all was good. Not so! Only upon unpacking did I notice broken & damaged goods (I took pictures), along with at least 8 boxes of missing inventory, including that ladderback chair. I called Tom to discuss how to handle damages & missing boxes. He mentioned nothing about my signing off & that it was a "done deal." In fact, he sent me a claims form to fill out. Now comes the very disappointing & unprofessional customer treatment/service regarding follow-up concerns & how to recoup my losses. After many consecutive phone calls, emails, texts (including copies to owner & president), Tom refused to answer my requests, no matter the mode of communication. When I finally did get in touch with him at 7am, he told me never to call him at this hour again because he was "dispatching." He informed me he'd do an exhaustive storage facility box-by-box check & get get back to me when completed. After that, he became dismissive of me when I called to check on status & treated me with disdain & annoyance, as a complete bother -- all for trying to figure out how my stuff could magically "disappear without a trace." At some point, Tom did explain about the computerized log-in process that happens when goods go in storage. Now all I wanted was in-person clarification about that process (& maybe even be shown that it was actually done). If you log in all that was on the original Household Goods Inventory sheet as hetold me was the case, then why now can't my goods be located. At this point, Tom refused to talk to me again & treated me as if I had no right to ask or even question his procedure. So, I filed a claim, which he mailed to me, & was denied. I called for clarification & again was treated with utter disrespect, courtesy, & lack of customer service or concern -- & this as a paying customer. DO NOT HIRE this unprofessional, careless moving company who apparently can get off "scott free" with this kind of behavior. And this was the treatment I got from all people I tried to contact, including the owner & president, who also didn't have the courtesy to respond to my many attempts at communication. I wouldn't even recommend them to move you across the street. They are discourteous, curt, obnoxious, & totally unprofessional, especially when it comes to customer service, courtesy, & communication. Apparently entitled-to communication is NOT part of this company's ethics or value system, as evidenced by a non-responsive owner/president. It tells you something about their corporate values: they have none.

While Anthony was helpful in setting up a smooth transition when I moved from Albany to Philadelphia, I was very disappointed in the follow-up of concerns. At least 2 of my items (including a study desk and bookshelf) were damaged to the point that they could not be used. The day I received those items in Philadelphia, I was told by the workers (and in the original contrast I signed) that I would get some sort of compensation for the damages. I sent the pictures of the items to the email provided multiple times (even months later) and still got no response. It was extremely frustrating to have been told that I would be refunded as part of the guarantee of working with Liedkie, yet that was not the case. 0 stars for reliability.

I shopped around before choosing my mover and ultimately chose Liedkie because of their reasonable pricing and the impression of competence and care that Anthony made when providing me with an estimate. The movers were awesome and worked without incident. My entire experience went smoothly and I would gladly use them again. Thank you!!

I had a positive experience from start to finish! From the office staff, to Anthony who did my initial quote, to my moving team (Mike, Phil, & Clint), I received nothing but professionalism, great communication, and responsiveness. The moving team made sure I knew I was in experienced hands and completed the job quickly! I would definitely use them again.

Bailed on the day of the move when the new buyers were also moving in that day. To say they are unprofessional is an understatement. They are trash.

The only reason they are getting any stars is because the men performing the work during the moving process were great. The office staff underestimated my move and charged me an additional 25% of the cost of my move and never notified me. After much discussion i received a small credit. Also, items were broke. I was instructed to file a claim similar (similar to other reviews I saw) and they never followed-up with me. Unfortunately, now I have to waste my time filing complaints with the NYSAG, NYSDOT & Arpin. Their customer service is terrible. I would not recommend!!

We did a local move with Liedke. Overall a very bad experience. So many phone calls not returned, promises not kept. The movers damaged our elliptical and it took 20+ calls and emails and 6 months to finally get it fixed. Because they didn't handle it, the pandemic added 2 months. They tried to charge me almost 50% above the original estimate, despite coming to my home twice before the move. Plus I packed much more than I said I would. I will say the actual moving team was great! Careful, concerned and efficient.

I just moved from north Greenbush to Clifton park and I called around looking for quotes. Liedkie immediately set me up with a virtual survey instead of having to take the day off to go through an awkward in house survey. The customer service was amazing every time I called. The Virtual survey gave me a quote and was spot on when my move was over which was refreshing! The movers moved my stuff like it was their own and it was the worlds fastest and easiest experience! 10/10 recommend!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY !!! Liedkie moving is without question the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. I'm a bit shy of 60 with serious physical limitations and a friend suggested Liedkie. Anthony came to do the estimate and I explained that I needed the movers to do all the lifting and he quoted $2900 plus for the job and that he would send 5 guys for 9 hours and everything would be taken care of. He told me it's his family business and no worries . The day of the move the price had moved up to $3100 plus. I agreed to pay in advance as that seemed to be the industry standard. 5 guys showed up and seemed to work hard but really had no direction and spent half the time smoking in my driveway. It rapidly became apparent that they were milking the hours and then realized they needed another truck as they had run out of room. I spoke to Steve on the phone and was told you aren't going to be happy anyway so I'm not doing anything for you. A real stand up guy. I along with 2 family members moved 12 pick up truck loads to finish the job and this caused the poor people who bought my house with an OT bill from their movers. I have moved 6 times and never paid half what I paid Liedkie and was treated so much better. I truly can't decide how much was gross incompetence and how much was a straight scam. The biggest fleecing in my lifetime and I admit to being embarrassed that I was taken for so much money and piss poor results. The movers were too tired to take back the wardrobe boxes but told me if I put them outside and call someone "might" pick them up. The guys apologized profusely and I gave them some cash. I don't think they were the real problem and they told me that this is a typical day for them , right from the lack of truck space to the inflated bills capped off by Steve blowing off the customer while hiding in the office. How these people live with themselves is a mystery to me. In my opinion this "family operation" know exactly what they are doing and most customers will only need a mover a few times in their lives so they might as well rip them off for every Penney possible and laugh at suckers like me. Hope karma catches up with them some day. Until then you've been warned. As for Anthony and Steve, choke on the money you didn't earn.

I've done residential and commercial moves for my small business with Liedkie--I've also worked with many other moving companies-- these folks are AWESOME. They are pros and they really care about their customers. And during one of the most stressful times in your life, you want a team that is seasoned with excellent attitudes. They come in with experience and help you traverse to your next chapter with ease.
