I have never felt the need to leave a bad review for any business until my recent experience with Adirondack Appliances. I came in looking for a part to fix my oven. They didn’t have the igniter I needed with the correct plug, but the manager said that the part they did have was for a different model, and if I cut and splice the wiring connections, it would work just fine. When I got home, I was hesitant to splice in the wires, so I ended up ordering the correct part online and brought their part back for a return within hours of purchasing it - not even a day later. I also never opened the box. The manager told me that they don’t do returns because “I could have damaged the part and that wouldn’t be fair to the next person”. First of all, she could clearly see that the part was completely unopened, so to accuse me of potentially having damaged the part is unprofessional in itself. It’s absurd to me that a store that sells appliance parts wouldn’t take returns - but if that’s their policy, they should mention it or post a sign. My biggest issue was this woman’s demeanor. She was incredibly accusatory and rude. When I purchased the part, I was actually excited to see that they carry the Aga appliance line and mentioned that I’m just about to start on my third kitchen in Saratoga. When I was attempting to return the part, I mentioned to her that I planned to give them business in the future and wish she would reconsider and allow the return. Her sarcastic remark was that if that’s the case I should, “but an Aga stove and she would consider applying a credit.” Adirondack Appliances will never get my business again.

Horrible customer service. Will not service an appliance they sold. AVOID AT ALL COST!

We recently purchased a new washer and dryer from Adirondack Appliance and we have no complaints. The salesman Erik, was helpful and informative and was not pushy in any way, which we always appreciate. He simply answered our questions, informed us of pros and cons for all options and let us make our own decision. No pressure. John and Mike delivered our purchase right on time and did an outstanding job. We had a couple of issues that required some problem solving and they came through in every way. By the look of the negative reviews on this page it seems to mostly revolve around service. Hopefully, we will have no need for service, and if we do, hopefully I can follow up with another positive review. (Not from San Francisco, not sure why it says I am. We're local)

I always give honest reviews and 99% of the time they are always good reviews , as you can see on my yelp page ... but this place is disappointing . So much potential but they are their own enemy and this place will close in no time . ------This place is beyond unprofessional . We rent and have had problems non stop with their appliances and service . Every time someone came to fix the problem the problem always came back . I even apologized for reaching out so many times bc I felt bad they had to keep fixing it . The guy who is one of the OWNERS. Just shows up at 8am no text , no call , no one told me just shows up . This is the 3rd time he has had to come . The fridge fan broke again ... so at this point we haven't had a working fridge in over a week ... He comes back again and simply gives us the advice "leave your food outside on your porch overnight " let your fridge thaw out "....... The owner tells us this . Comes back AGAIN after WE had to call... to thaw out our fridge with his tools .. like it should have been the first time . But he said it would be too expensive to replace parts ... They are unprofessional . Slightly lazy with their ethics , and no coustmer support coming from the lady I was TEXTING with . Yep a personal number that you text ... this is beyond me . Not the mention THEY CALLED THIS morning AT 7am ... to tell me they will be here at 8 ... I wake up everyday around 8 and let the dogs out feed ect ... they don't even open until 8:30 ... and all the women had to tell me is ---"he likes to start his day early " ----- I told her the day before a time before 12 is okay with me . Bc she told me he could only come before the time of 12 .... Not 7am ... or if at 7am which is ridiculous... let someone know !! That's why businesses schedule !!! they don't even open @7am ------she thannn tells me ... "this is how he likes to run his business sorry for your Troubles " ..... they aren't going to be staying open for long treating their coustmer a with 0 care . I SUGGEST CLIFTON PARK APPLINACE THEY ARE AMAZING !! They send two confirmation text with a name and time and date and even a picture of whose coming so you know !!! He was in and out less than an hour for our washer ... we would hire him for the fridge but as we rent we can't choose . I have been more than nice and understanding even when they were treating us like fools .. I let so much go but this was the last straw for me ... 1 good thing I can say is that he showed up and did what he thought he should be doing and my fridge is now getting colder so I'm happy I do t have to waste food .

I purchased all of my high end appliances from this company. Five years later my refrigerator maker stopped making ice. ADK Appliance told me the Thermador Refrigerator was not repairable and that I needed to purchase a new one. I then contacted Mr. Appliance out of Ballston Spa. Their technician, Scott came and investigated the problem and fixed it. I am so happy that I didn't listen to ADK Appliance. Their service department is very poor.

Great service! Great delivery and installation. We purchased an induction stove for them at the same price as the big box stores.We had a factory defective motor on the oven fan. They scheduled a quick appointment and diagnosed the problem. They ordered the replacement parts and 3 days later the stove was fixed! Prompt, courteous and efficient service. We will buy all our appliances from them. They are a great example as to why it it pays to shop small business and local. We would still be waiting for service if we were lucky enough to get if from the big box stores. Thanks Adirondack.

Erik in sales was awesome. Very professional and knowledgeable about the dryer that I purchased. Dryer was delivered 15 minutes early. Installed in about an hour. Dryer wouldn't heat. Priority service scheduled. Because of the problem Erik gave me an extended warranty. I recommend this company to anyone who is purchasing an appliance. Much better than the big box stores.

My mom and I purchased a new Speed Queen washing machine. We both were so happy that you had a machine that had knobs and very little digital. As a senior citizen, my mom finds the digital pads to be very confusing. Eric was extremely helpful and patient with the both of us and he found the perfect machine that made us both happy. I recently purchased a new washing machine. I was very happy with the quick delivery service, as well as, the installation process! Adirondack Appliances customer service was excellent! I would highly recommend Adirondack Appliance to everyone!

My gas stove stopped working so I called requesting service. Within 2 days my stove was repaired at a fair reasonable price. The service Technician, Terry, was friendly, explained everything, and even checked other parts of the stove to make sure everything else was safe and working properly. I will not hesitate to call Adirondack Appliance if I ever need a service call for my other appliances.
