“East of Niagara, there are a few Smokin Joe's gas and tobacco shops here and they are on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation. As such, they're not subject to New York State taxes. If you're a smoker, you'll get cheap cigarettes. If you're driving, it's cheap gasoline. I'm a fan of that and if it means the Native Americans can get some profit as a result, that's fine with me.
I did pop inside to use the restroom. Not great but okay. This Smokin Joe's accepts credit cards. The first one I stopped at was cash only.

“Rather pay a little extra knowing I'm getting 5 gallon for 5 gallons of gas.Indian res gas you never can tell as no NY weights & measures checks.Also for no tax you're only saving if lucky 10 cents per gallon.Don't want to pay tax then you can't complain of road conditions in NY or across the country.”

“This place deserves a good, updated review. I work down the street & go here often. Most of the workers are so friendly. The food is great for a gas station & very cheap. Breakfast sandwiches, burgers, slushies. All decent grabs for cheap. Also a nice car wash right next door if you need that. 2 thumbs up.”
“Cheaper gas, yes, on this Tuscarora land, and cheaper cigarettes. I visit about twice a month for both. I used to pick up some deli items, but in these covid times the deli has been closed. It is open again, but only for a few specific sandwiches. And I usually visit the Overstock Store while there, but discovered this week that their hours are now only 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. Wednesday through Saturday. I will adjust my visits accordingly, because I never know what I might find there. In the past I have bought a comforter for my bed, curtains for a kitchen window, a set of glasses, and a few empty cigar boxes. I've been tempted by some automotive products, and an occasional stool or plant stand. Just have to find out for yourself if there is a deal waiting with your name on it. The trading post also has clothing and jewelry and other gift possibilities, many leather goods. And chocolate. There is also a small Native art museum. But it also looked darkened as was the Overstock store. Possibly it is open same days and hours as Overstock. Free to explore when it is open.”

“One of my favorite places to shop for great atmosphere and friendly people. This is where I like to purchase gasoline and tobacco products. They have animals there so don’t bother their guard dogs and sometimes one of the shop keepers will have her little dogs with her in her store just be sure not to bother them as well. These animals are their family members. Other than that I go there once a week to fill up.”
