We are finishing our first year at Harbor with a child in 2nd grade and a child in the PreK3. We cannot say enough positive things about this school, its staff, the other families, the philosophy and the students. It is a remarkable place and are thrilled that our children attend school there.

Harbor Country Day School is an independent, private, nonprofit school located on 11 beautiful acres on the North Shore of Long Island in Smithtown’s picturesque Head of the Harbor. From Pre-K 3 through eighth grade, preschool, elementary and middle school students at Harbor receive an education rich in 21st century-based learning coupled with character-building, leadership and traditional academic skills. With student-centered, project-based lessons that are collaborative, creative and challenging, Harbor’s faculty guides each student to reach his or her individual level of personal and academic excellence.
