Cavaniola Gourmet Cheese Shop in Sag Harbor offers a staggering and excellent selection of gourmet cheeses, alongside chocolates, pickles, olives, artichoke hearts, ibérico ham, prosciutto, and other gourmet foods. The intoxicating and wonderful scents make your mouth water upon entering. The staff are incredible, absolutely incredible, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, kind, and super nice. They provide unmatched customer service, expertly advising customers and letting them taste cheeses before buying to find the perfect selection. They are happy to hand-pick choices based on preference while remaining budget-friendly. The shop creates remarkable and stunning platters for events. While some note the cheese is a little expensive and not supermarket cheese, many find it worth it and not outrageous for a gourmet shop. The experience often extends to the equally impressive adjacent wine shop, where staff offer great value recommendations. The overall experience is wonderful and a must-stop on the east end, leaving customers definitely planning to go back and recommending it highly for any charcuterie needs.
The best selection of cheese. Period. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They will let you try the cheese before you buy it and we’re super nice to my 9 year old daughter. Only downside is the chocolates are too good and I think I put on a few pounds… lol.

For starters the cheese is excellent, a little expensive, but worth it. The staff are incredible, the boy who helped us knew his stuff and picked out a great selection of cheeses. The ibérico ham is some of the best I’ve ever tried! If your on the east end stopping by Caviniolas is a must!!”
