If it were possible to give zero star reviews, then this place deserves a zero star review. The employees behind the desk are incredibly rude and nasty. As I was filling out my forms, I could hear them talking smack behind me and clearly hearing, ‘look at her.’ These employee's obviously hate their job and Inflict that to folks walking in. The employees are very miserable people with very low patience. I would highly recommend to avoid this post office unless you too are miserable and enjoy being around other wrenched people.

On the one hand, it's nice to see that other people validate my terrible experience here. On the other hand, it's incredibly sad, because the staff who work here are obviously so miserable and continue to inflict their misery onto customers. I worked with someone named Acevedo today (I think that was her name). I asked her "this comes with a tracking number, right?" And she said "insert your card." I said, before I do that, I just want to confirm that this comes with tracking and she said PUT IN YOUR CARD TO PAY OR DON'T. I don't understand a) why she had to be so rude and b) why she hasn't been trained to talk respectfully to customers/people. Will not come back here and would strongly urge management to train people or fire those who refuse to be trained. People should not have to be abused when they go to the USPS.

When you submit a request to HOLD mail, it has zero effect and they just keep delivering it anyway. Piled up. Most blow away. Thanks a lot USPS.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The two women working Saturday morning were rude and seemed to hate their job and life, I feel sorry for them.

We went in for a passport appointment for my daughter at 10 am. We got there 10 mins early (as recommended when we made the appointment) and they were very friendly and opened up a few minutes early to get started on our application. Unfortunately, there were some issues with our paperwork, but we were able to get them sorted out and still wrapped up by 10:05 am. While reviewing the application, the clerk's communication style was definitely direct (but still felt friendly) and I think helps ensure the review goes efficiently and wraps up on time.

I wish I could give zero stars. I made the mistake of using USPS and shipped an item to myself that never arrived. The employees all act like they hate their jobs which they probably do. They offered no help other than to call another post office that offered no help and the website is terrible. I will never use USPS again or go in to the Rye Post Office.

The worst . They can't deliver mail on time. Never communicate , dont offer help. The absolute worst. Befitting the community it supposedly serves.

Vile doesn’t even describe how incredibly rude, confrontational, insulting and abusive Marisol the clerk at the Rye post office is. I went with my small children for a passport appointment which I had set 4 weeks in advance online because appointments were booked out that far. During our appointment she handed out several rude offenses to us: one including taking two walk ins during our appointment time and making us wait. Argumentative throughout the appointment and so rude that my daughter gasped to me “my god”. How in the world the USPS allows this kind of deplorable behavior towards its patrons is beyond me. Looking at all the terrible reviews about the same offensive individuals, perhaps reports to USPS need to start being filed about this office and their employees there. Please consider going ANYWHERE else but here to handle your matters unless you want a hearty serving of Marisol’s and Acevedo’s vile attitudes.

They do not take passport photos even though this service is posted on their website. Take PP photos with your application. Second, they often have only 1 person at the counter so beware of possible delays, especially if someone in front of you has a passport application.
