Wow... just wow. I would ever get married again this would be the place

I was a camper here for the first session 2023, and enjoyed many of the activities, but there were many areas that needed improvement.We will start with the positives! There is a wide variety of activities to choose from! Banana boating, candle making, go-karts, ropes course, ty-dye and t-shirt printing, and the lakes obstacle course, which were all amazing activities!The food was very delightful! (The best camp food I have ever had, considering I have been to lots of camps! Thank you kitchen staff!)The counselors were so kind, funny and compassionate, but I often felt as though their problems were disregarded by the head staff. One of my counsellors hurt her ankle very badly, and she was told to "just wait it out." Others were simply told that they were making "excuses" for actual medical problems that needed attention, and accommodations. Witnessing that was upsetting.The cabins had an excessive amount of mold due to there being no ventilator fans in the bathrooms to get rid of the moisture. I was having allergic reactions due to the amount of mold. My eyes got bloodshot, and I was constantly sneezing. One of my counsellors shoes were covered in mold after being stored under her bed; along with my luggage. There were also lots of mice due to poor cabin sealing, and girls keeping their snacks after being repeatedly told to throw them away.There was litter everywhere!!! I constantly found myself picking up after my peers, and they showed disregard for their wrong doings. No reprimands were made to campers using vulgar cuss words and even harsh slurs. Cabins were a mess, as most of the girls were not used to cleaning up after themselves. Boundaries were crossed in areas they shouldn't have been.Since it was my first year there I made friends with other girls who were also there for the first time. To my surprise, the campers who have been going to timberlake west for many years were rude to the newcomers, and went as far as to push them out of their cliques, and talk behind each other's backs.I am from Florida, and recommend camps in Maine, Canada, or North Carolina! The people are very kind there, and I built genuine connections at those camps!!! Although this camp has great activities and food, the negatives outweigh the positives, and I won't be coming back due to the treatment I received from other campers.-Thank you staff, for keeping us safe during the session!

We came for a special event wedding. TLW is a beautiful camp in a valley with its own lake. Bunks were nice. Activities included rock climbing, go carts,swimming in pools and lake, kayaking and much more. Wedding on lawn next to Lake was a beautiful experience.

the quality of this camp is amazing. Truly 5 stars. Went to visiting day and was just floored at how amazing it was. The part that stood out the most to me was the amount of staff they had! I could not believe the amount of counselors and CA's assigned to my sons bunk. Had to be 10-15 counselors for a group of 20 or so kids.

The venue was perfect for us. The owner and staff were professional, communicative and went above and beyond to make our wedding a special event. We got everything we wanted and more, and we highly recommend this place for any future wedding events.

We were lucky enough to finally get married at Timber lake west in September 2021 after rescheduling twice in 2020 (thank you to the camp owner, Justin, for being so flexible and easy to work with). We and our 200 guests have nothing but amazing things to say about the camp, the staff and the weekend as a whole. Justin and his team work tirelessly to keep the site beautiful and they took special care to make sure everything went smoothly and our guests were taken care of. We wanted a venue that was fun, unique and could house all of our friends and family onsite and TLW does that perfectly. The cafeteria meals provided by the camp were delicious, the bunks were clean and comfortable and the facilities were top notch. Our guests enjoyed a welcome bbq on Friday evening that ended with knockout and flip cup on the basketball courts. On Saturday we had hours of basketball, tennis, hiking, go-karts, boating and swimming leading up to the wedding on Saturday evening. Our outdoor ceremony was right next to the lake, which provided a stunning backdrop for our photos. The large reception hall overlooks the lake and has a stage that was perfect for a wedding band. The next morning we sent our guests off with a delicious brunch. We got so many compliments on our choice of venue and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. Justin was very accessible and quick to answer all of our questions throughout the planning process. Thank you to Timber Lake West for giving us the perfect wedding weekend…we can’t wait to go back!

My wedding is TLW is what dreams are made of. Everyone who works there went above and beyond to make sure we had the most special weekend. Steve and Justin are seriously incredible! It's been nearly two months and our friends and family are still talking about how badly they want to go back to camp.

Come for the go carts. Stay for the values. These guys know what they're doing. Our son gained confidence and friendships that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended!
