The staff was very welcoming when I walked in. As soon as they saw my stroller, they rushed to help even though they looked extremely busy. The overall atmosphere was bright, clean, and cozy. I was able to get what I needed. They even carried the boxes to my car.

An amazing organization. I had the pleasure to meet Dawn when I was crying looking for baby formula when the shortage across the nation happened. She was very heartwarming welcoming person that I never thought even existed. Her smile, compassion and way to treat me on my desperate need was something that I will never forget. Thanks for being understanding and so great with everyone. You are truly one of a kind ♡

My Wife and I have been donating for just over a year now and cannot say enough about Dawn and her hard working staff of volunteers.They help 1000's of families on Long Island with everyday living supplies and are very efficient at making our donations go a long way.I've also seen them in action and the appreciation of the families they help.Highly recommend and Thank you,Glenn and Donna H.

Long Island Lend a helping hand is a wonderful nonprofit organization that helps those in need. The organization is run by all volunteers that give up their time to help the community. They have a food pantry that is open to all. Clothes, household goods, programs for children and so much more. If you need help stop by, if they can’t help you they will direct you to someone that could. It’s run strictly on donations so if you have items bring them in especially non-perishable foods. I recommend Long Island Lend a helping hand to anyone that needs to be part of giving and receiving. God works through people and these people are doing an awesome job!!!

Dawn the owner and her volunteers work very hard to help the poor and homeless. it's easy to get the help you need and she does it privately. the people getting help feel she's helping you move forward without embarasing you. your identity is confidential. she has many community events for people of all ages. she helps the lonely, helps children with homework, and a,dually helps everyone in needthank you Dawn and your volunteers for everything you do

Long Island helping hands is truly a God-sent. Dawn and her husband and kids, and any other volunteers go out of their way to really help those in need.
