I was truly impressed with A1 auto. It was such a pleasure working with them. Very nice family owned business. They were honest, educational, and you can tell they cared. I was completely satisfied with their work. Will definitely use again in the future. Highly recommend.

I've had many experiences with other auto body shops and being a little OCD. I always find things to complain about. A-1 made the car look better than factory! Nothing at all to complain about! My new exclusive auto body shop now!

There is nothing good to say about this place. This is part 2 of my review. the first was right after the paint was finished. Keep in mind they called 4 times to say it was finished.Blisters the size of florida along with runs like the Mississippi. Missed paint spots and now, peeling off as I drive down the road very disappointed in the response from Tom the owner who takes no responsibility for the work . 15k and this a month later there is no excuse.

Drove to A1 today so the guys can take a look at my back left quarter panel by the back left driver side tire after I scraped a wood pylon.I dealt with Tim who I spoke with on the phone and within 5 minutes once I got there, they took the black scrapes out of that bumper off of my white car.They were honest with me as far as the car trying to get the dent pulled or if it's going to need a quarter panel. And that's what I like about this business. Up front and honest. Selling the car in question so I didn't go for the quarter panel replacement.I spent years and years going to Schubert's Auto body in Smithtown when all the while I could have been going to these guys. I will now switch (and no offense to those guys but I hope I don't see them for a long time at A1.) Lol.Good guys I highly recommend going to A1

I found A-1 Auto Body completely by accident (no pun intended) about 5 years ago. We needed to get an estimate for an accident and the place we intended to go to was closed so we went to the nearest place. Best thing we ever did! We've used them at least 4 times since then. Tom, the owner, is the nicest person you ever want to meet. He is honest and very knowledgeable. His body work is impeccable! His son Tim is exactly like him. If you are unfortunate to be there as a result of an accident, you are at the right place. They will tell you everything you need to know to get everything done seamlessly. I recommend A-1 Auto Body to all my friends.

Tom is great to work with. You can tell he knows what he’s talking about and has been doing this a long time. We needed our truck back quickly and they were able to accommodate that request (faster than expected too!). My wife’s car came back looking amazing. I will not hesitate to use them again!

Tom is the man. Not only did he save my life rafting (he pulled me up with one arm when I fell out of the raft on the most dangerous rapid of the trip) with the scouts back in the early 2010s but he also helped me get thousands more for my prius when it was totaled in 2019. My prius was hit twice when it was parked, once in 2017? and again when it was totaled in 2019. When it was hit in 2017 it needed about 5k worth of work but the first repair place I went quoted it at like 3k. Tom matched the paint perfectly which was a difficult "pearl" tri-tone paint. You don't find places with these kind of reviews.
