Great studio. Convenient location. But they cancel classes for no reason. They lose business every time they do this.

This is such a great studio, one of the best Bikram studios in Long Island. But unfortunately the vibe (and style of yoga) has changed dramatically since the original owners left. Very sad :( First, they used to have tons of traditional classes. A class that was universal and open to beginners of all ages. Whether you are 19 or 82 you can probably do Bikram. But now it's too much vinyasa and specialty classes that not every "body" can do. LOL. I've seen student get yelled at or chastised for coming into the room a minute late. Really,? In Bikram I understand. But for vinyasa or yin? You can join in at anytime and still get the benefits!! They have become Bikram boot camp style teachers (but without the Bikram!! ) and it's really a turn off. Stick to the basics And you'll gain ALOT of business back.

This studio used to be amazing! They were the best Bikram studio on Long Island, and even though I didn't come often when I did it was a great experience. Now, they have replaced many of the traditional classes with other types of yoga. They used to have 2-3 classes a night. Maybe 2-3 in the am. And on the weekends all the afternoon and evening classes were straight Bikram! Some students cannot do vinyasa. Whether it's because of injury, or lack of strength in the upper body. But with the traditional class almost anyone can do it. That's why it's called a "beginners class". The week nights were all traditional (either 90 or 60) and the weekend afternoon classes were also traditional 60. The studio was much busier back then! So you'd think they would catch on. LOL. Keep it simple :))

This place sucks not a welcoming experience for new comers. Hey Felicity it's just OK, good heat. The instructors were not that welcoming. Would not recommend for a newbie.

I have been practicing Body & Brain for many years teaching and incorporating it into my integrative work as a psychotherapist. The system through which each instructor devotes themselves truly encompasses body mind and spirit awareness and communication. I must say that during this most unprecedented time in which we are living, and during other challenges throughout the years , this wonderful practice has provided the necessary tools for which to experience inner peace and and fortitude and grounding and more .. the classes online have provided opportunity to practice with many instructors and learn so much . Workshops have been offered to further our study in different areas and further enhance class teachings .. cooking , movie night , celebrations etc and so many others to engage us to connect at a time when we must sustain ourselves in more than regular alone fine can offer .. Furthermore I must express my most sincere gratitude for the instructors who tirelessly exert the time and energy to be present to their students in accordance with their needs day and night and during this time on a volunteer basis ... they encourage in addition, service to those in need amidst us and in the world around us , a most wide angled lens perspective... with generosity and love. I have met and continue to meet people who I can call FRIEND .. - I am most grateful .. ??♀️

Bought the 15 classes for $25. had a good experience my first few classes with the other teachers until one of the teachers humiliated me in front of the whole class for asking about a fan when I was overheating and not feeling good as a beginner in the class. She singled me out, CURSED in the class and then told me not to yelp about it in front of the whole class so here is my Yelp for her. Not sure why this certain teacher is teaching a Yoga class where it's supposed to be mellow and understanding especially when it was 7pm at night. I am not sure if she is insecure about her self and her weight but she needs to deal with that outside of the classroom.

Great classes---not traditional yoga, but lots of movement and stretching with a concentration on breathing.

NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY!!! Please read if considering the studio or if you are a teacher at the studio. Hopefully this review can be received objectively because I don't want to leave a review based on just one class. I have been practicing yoga for 6 years (currently 23). I am coming off a few weeks of no practice and was excited to try a new studio. I want to reiterate that even in the class description online for vinyasa yoga, it says all levels are welcome AND beginners welcome. The cardio piece to this class was not whag I found challenging, however, there was absolutely no attention to alignment, barely any cues for poses, and the teacher basically participated in the whole class while looking in the mirror. She did walk around towards the second half, but it felt like she was leading a groups exercise class at a gym and we were following. The class was totally ADVANCED with lots of inversions and balancing postures. Of course students varied in ability, but these poses should have been offered with INSTRUCTION. There was also a lot of language like, "The GOAL is to one day get your body this way ___ ." This language is unacceptable in a yoga space especially with widely diverse students who vary in age, shape, and ability. (a positive to this studio-- definitely a diverse group of students.) Telling students the "goal" is to get your feet to your head one day is excluding all the students whose bodies don't allow them to access that pose. Students were told to get block, but modifications using blocks were not offered until the class was about 70% over. Teacher used terminology that was not beginner-friendly which was extremely disappointing as I saw many classmates confused. This studio advertises themself as beginner friendly all over their website but they are NOT. If this class was advertised as advanced then this review would be slightly different because teachers should of course teach to the level advertised, but again this is advertised as a beginner friendly space. When I arrived, the hot vinyasa teacher greeted new students with some rules but especially, "don't talk in class or I'll get mad..and you don't want to see me ANGRY or we will do lots of chair pose." This was completely unprofessional, not welcoming, and ego-driven. Very non-yoga. The student who helped me check in/sign up was very kind (thank you for that!) Yoga is expensive and an investment of time and energy, and to be brought into a space and deceived is such a shame. I will be attending a few more classes here because I don't want to "shame" this studio that clearly has a large student population. I will post another update after my time here has finished. If you read this and are a teacher from the studio, please consider these points.

I practice hot yoga 5-7 times a week in Nashville and absolutely love it. So I'm visiting my family in LI for the holidays and got a Groupon to this studio since it's close to my mom's house. I'm honestly appalled at how dingy and dirty this studio is. The floor was sticky and I saw small hairs in the corner of the room that I was near. Additionally, I have never been to this studio before and when I walked in, the instructor at the desk didn't give me any information as to where everything was located in the studio. I only saw some small cubbies and didn't feel comfortable leaving my cell phone out in the open in a cubby. I brought it into the room with me, but it was on silent and I wasn't using it at all. About 30 minutes into the class (while I was in a pose), the instructor interrupted the class, walked over to me, grabbed my phone off the ground and goes we don't allow these in here and walked out with my phone. First off, I completely understand that rules are rules, but given that I didn't see any lockers I was nervous to leave my phone out in the open. And if there are lockers in this studio, I was never told about them. Additionally, i wasn't using my phone, it was on silent, face down and not interrupting the class at all. Lastly, the instructors phone actually went off in class and she went "sorry I forgot to put my phone on airplane mode". To interrupt someone's practice and take their phone is incredibly unprofessional. It actually ruined the rest of class for me. The professional thing to do would've been to have pulled me aside after class and asked me to leave my phone in my car or outside of the room moving forward. I have four classes left and am letting them go to waste because I rather waste the money then return to this studio ever again. I was actually warned by someone else who visited this studio that I should go somewhere else but I didn't listen to them because the reviews are good. Big mistake on my part.

I was so excited to start hot yoga classes here. I hadn't been able to do yoga since my son was born, now that he's finally in school for a few hours a day, I had the opportunity to do a morning class. I was thrilled and specifically chose this place because its 5 minutes away from my son's school. Now this is not my first rodeo at hot yoga. I participated in several different yoga classes over the past 10 years all over the city. Upon entering, the employee started going over the rules and said I couldn't participate with my phone or could not leave the room if I had an emergency for 2 1/2 year old son in school. Fine. Understandable for the flow of the class, but very discouraging that a exception couldn't be made for a desperate mom needing some yoga in her life. She said, "I understand with kids....". Don't give me condescending comfort; you clearly do not. I reiterated that this is the only 3 hour gap for the week that I can participate and she suggested I come to the evening class. She was clearly not acknowledging my schedule. This place is not made for mother's or primary care givers. Very discouraging.

As a first time new customer I arrived in a few mins before the class started advising that my mother (who's first time it was also) was outside parking. I also mentioned how we both left work early specifically for this scheduled class and came from far. The employees had absolutely no care or compassion and said the doors lock in one minute and we can't hold the class up for anyone. I reiterated that this is both our first time and my mother was walking up the stairs, they responded sorry if You want to wait around there's a 6:30 class. As a first time customer, who actually referred a few friends already to purchase a few classes I am extremely disappointed and turned off. Very Poor customer service, I will not return.

I was given 5 classes as a gift because he knew I tried it in the past and liked it. Now we both love it. The facility is clean and they have everything you need in case you forget something. Chris is an amazing instructor and welcoming to everyone. No matter what level of fitness you're at you can do it! It's a tough 60 minutes but you'll feel amazing all day afterwards. Definitely recommend.

This is one of my favorite hot yoga studios on long island! I love the staff here and unlike other hot yoga studios, they seem to offer a variety of classes and different times throughout the week. I am a huge fan of the Yin class and some studios only offer Yin once a week but here it's at least three times a week. I can only make the evening classes or weekend so having this option is really a plus. The studio has a great vibe to it and the staff are always friendly. Feel very relaxed after last nights Yin class!

I dragged my male cousin for the amazingly cost friendly intro package. He has bad knees and it really helped him with flexibility. I fell in love and bought a 3 month package. All teachers are amazing, the vibe is great. I love love love this place., when I step in the room I inhale deeply and find my breathe. I was recently diagnosed with a pinch nerve ( c5 c6) and honestly the practice has assisted with my discomfort. They have various specials which is fab, I jumped on the teacher special and am extending my practice for another 3 months. I would highly recommend this location to all from beginners to flexible yogis. I am a runner and am training with my cousin for our first Tough Mudder, this practice has helped tremendously. I plan on practicing for a longgggg time ;)

I'm not the one to write much reviews, I can only speak for myself, but decided to give this place one after coming here to Rafael's restorative class(this class is not interactive for you to observe his teachings which is the reason I had not known the following) & a couple times to his revolution flow class which is the class of issue. It seems his approach is very negative in his teachings where he has zero ounce of encouragement towards the people in his class. If you know the positions good for you. He will send off negative phrases, giggles, & sarcasms through out his class. I'm convinced Rafael has lost touch of what Yoga is truly about & how he should be using his practice to encourage others & not discourage those who come to the mat. Maybe, his behavior is towards specific people, but I trust my observation. Thankfully, I've been trying out different Yogas which is how I've learned different positions including headstands & arm stands, & other poses & stretches which was taught completely different to what he was saying in his class. I decided to give him a second try in this class as I was near by,big mistake & a waste of my time. I cannot speak of other instructors there, but I can imagine if this is the acceptable behavior of one instructor then something is wrong here. I'm sure others will find this out sooner or later, or those who have experienced this will say something unless he changes his approach. I hope others finds this helpful. If you are considering coming here, I would advise you go elsewhere in your practice.
