“We were looking for a travel stroller and my wife had three picked out. We wanted to see them in person and check them out. Looked up google maps and found this store. They had all the strollers to check out. Allie was very helpful and their price was the best. They offered 15% off retail price and 15% off theAccessories to the stroller. Very pleased. Go check this store out!”
“Wow, what an amazing store! The variety of comic books, action figures, and other nostalgic items are fantastic. It really takes you back to your childhood. Big shout out to Phil who was super friendly, welcoming and helpful!”
“An amazing toy store. A great selection of educational toys and games. If you are looking for something different for a child’s party this is the place to come.
Beautiful gift baskets also available.
Owner and staff are very helpful, store is spotless and so organized. Owner also very community minded giving gift baskets for local fundraisers.
Definitely recommend this local Toy Store
Great place to shop”
“Great store to buy or even just look at nostalgic items. Be warned, you will end up buying some cool stuff.I also ended up having my vehicle serviced at the same place. My car was well taken care of, and I was treated fairly. I will be back again with my other vehicles, and I will recommend this auto repair to all my friends.”
“ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK CUZ I WILL LEAVE THE STORE WITH MANY ITEMS ?. I recommend this place for any fnaf fans since there’s a good amount of fnaf merch here. Also great amount of hello kitty things here too if you’re a fan of Hello kitty.”
“This shop is an easy five star based on their inventory, staff knowledge and overall great atmosphere to shop in. Willis Hobbies has been around MIneola since 1949. Not only have they been a fabric of the community but they always show their commitment to Mineola through their participation in Village events. If you can think of it.... You'll find it here. Plenty of electric cars, models (that go up to 2,000 pieces), lots of model trains and trains-accessories. The beauty of the shop is that the team here are experts. Depending what you're looking for will determine who you speak with. There is value shopping in a store that understands your needs and advices you accordingly. They always set up race cars at the MIneola Street to become more involved and engaged with the residents. In summation... there are good people here. KUDOs top the team at Willis Hobbies.”

“The owners know all their products and are very experienced with importing merchandise that otherwise might be difficult to attain here in the States. From Transformers to Gundam, from Power Rangers to Ultraman, from One Piece to Jujutsu Kaisen, they’ve quite literally have it all. My brother and I will be frequenting this spot quite a lot in the near future and I hope anybody that is even remotely interested in shopping collectibles or hobby items that you will give this place a chance and fall in love with the atmosphere as did my brother and I!!”

630 Old Country Rd Space 1057, Garden City“What kid doesn't love going to the LEGO STORE. Wish I had enough money to buy all the sets my kids want. So many sets I want for myself! Lego is part educational, so I'd much rather spend money on Legos than some toy that will end up in the basement. (Photo of special event cat)”
“Great couple. had a good rc conversation with the lovely couple. Grabbed a pair of duratax banditos 2.2 on road. Have to say there jus a great couple of ppl. Definitely going back. There love for the hobby is undeniable”
“Loved this place for trinkets and finds at great prices. Especially during holiday decor season! Saddened that this location has closed. Please update GOOGLE as I traveled to permanent closure , web listed as still open.?”
“Trainland is a fantastic store with multiple layouts on display; huge selection of all scales. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and take their time to explain the products, along with helping customers troubleshoot. The online store (Trainworld) is my goto place for buying all things trains. They ship quickly, prices are competitive, and they stand behind the products they sell. Trainland continues to excel at providing that in person experience in the age where brick and mortar hobby stores continue to close. Highly recommend visiting and buying something there. They have everything from the Thomas trains for kids to the extremely high-end hobbyist quality products.”
“I love this variety card and gift store. They have almost everything including lottery. I never walk out without buying something. There Willow Tree collection is so up to date. I love gazing at them. Of course I buy one here and there. There cards are plentiful and beautiful. Have fun there.”

142 Fulton Ave, Hempstead“No weekend is complete without a run to 5 Below. It's always for something that's needed like a phone charger cord and then I wind up seeing so many other things that I feel like I must have. This location is usually pretty well stocked and the staff is friendly. Every once in a while they're short handed up front but they seem to make it work. On this trip I got pillows and a throw for my guest bedroom because they were super cute and affordable. I also bought another bookcase/organizer because I used one of theirs for my pop up shop set up and it works really great. Even though some things are more than $5 most of my items were actually $5. If you have a very small child, I'm warning you they have lots of cute toys and a lot of candy especially near the checkout so either prep them before you go in or don't bring them.”
“Karen was such a help in choosing gifts for my brother (an adult with multiple disabilities). He and his group-home housemates were delighted with her choices and one of the staff thought they would be perfect for her special-needs relative. I was glad to pass along your address and Karen's name.”
“Having just gotten into the hobby last year, this shop was a god send. From recommendations to standard collecting practices. Pete, the owner has been very knowledgeable and honest from my experience. I’ve since traveled the island checking out other shops. I alway find myself coming back to this one. Great people, I definitely recommend checking it out if anything.”
“What a delight to have a toy store in the neighborhood!! I felt nostalgic entering the store and it reminded me of KB toy store. I love that they offer to gift wrap. Will be coming here to buy my son more toys!”

19 Covert Ave, Floral Park“Floral park is tiny, but cute and cozy. Definitely helps narrow down your selection. Store is always organized and clean. Employee Alesia is hands down the best. She is very knowledgeable and helpful! Very much recommend her. Her wrapping is excellent. Mattys is worth the money. We love it there!”
“Don't be fooled by the seemingly small storefront - this toy store has so much selection inside and so neatly organized. My kids and I were warmly greeted upon entering and offered help. Staff were all so friendly and kind. Great place to buy gifts for kids' birthday parties. I especially loved that they carry Usborne activity books!”
“I don't go frequently but it's always a nice break for me. Good variety. Good staff. Appreciate Ya'll for allowing this guy to revisit an old hobby from back when. ???”
“Heard about this store from the LI Teachers group on FB. Greatest little find. Store has teacher supplies throughout but most of it is concentrated in the back. The woman at the register is extremely helpful. If you can’t find something, just ask her, she will let you know if they have any more in the back or if the are ordering more supplies. They also laminate anything you buy for free. Plus teachers get a 15% discount. Great store and customer service.”

254 Sunrise Hwy, Freeport“Keep in mind that the merchandise really doesn't make the store. They are all cookie-cutter stores. For me, it's the salespeople. The Freeport store has a nice young man who is quite helpful making my shopping easier.”
