Gamal Moodie completely wasted my time. Called me to offer a very generous HELOC provided by citizens. After scheduling the appt (which is a complete waste of time to beggin with, we have phones in 2024), I went into the bank and met with Gamal. After a few mins of discussion and going over the details of the loan, he informed me that they do not offer loans to Co-Op owners, which I am. I find it hard to believe that this info is not available for Gamal ahead of time or if he simply asked the right questions, neither of us would have wasted our time today. When I got up and said “it’s ok we learn from our mistakes”, he replied “it’s alright no problem sir”, in which I replied “no no I didn’t make the mistake, you did”. He ignored that reply and went on begin a sales pitch for a new mortgage anyway. I then said “do me a favor and for the next potential client, ask the right questions”, he then replied “sure” and that was the end. Honestly I wouldn’t have written this review if he would have just been apologetic instead of having a smug attitude. It’s no secret that banks and car dealership actively waste your time, but I think this one could have been avoided. At this time I am shopping around to move my mortgage elsewhere.

I started going to this location alittle over a month ago. The tellers have been very pleasant and helpfull. Then I'm not sure what changed. But a lady (didn't document her name) who seems to be the branch manager started making me feel uncomfortable. Ask on my previous visits she never seen me before. Looked over my accounts via teller etc. This past visit suggest I should use Atm for deposits. Keep in mind I have laundromat which deposits a lot of small bills which usually pretty tedious via Atm. She commented l hold up other customers. Keep in mind. I've waited patiently usually 10-15min which the average time most clients transactions and myself. She came over a few times she can teach me how to use it. Then also I can't get quarters for the laundry this week. I have to call ahead for quarters. I have several accounts other banks business and personal (Chase,Fargo to name a few NEVER have i experienced this. The only reason I opened an account was giving this bank a chance because they gave an equity line a few years ago which enabled me invest in other properties/laundromats. But branch banking has been an adventure with Citizen and mobile App oh gosh. I felt like just closing my account, withdrawing money and walking out. I will go back to my original bank in Valley Stream its just a bit crowded there at times due to high traffic area. But probably just goin move on. The Manager branch lady whose name I didn't document SMH. And I hope she reads this. Knows exactly who I am.

What a horrible bank!!! You can’t get anything done there. Money got frozen for weeks. Account suspended for no reason and stuff can’t get anything solved! Sitting on a phone trying to reach main office for more then an hour! Complete failure of a banking system.

I had a mastercard credit card for over 20 years with HSBC; never had a problem in all those years; it was sold or transfered to Citizen Bank. It is HORRIBLE!!! you stay in the phone for ever even though they say 15min, nobody helps or answers. The worst service ever.
