Myself and my groomsman got tuxedos here. 2 purchased, 1 rented. While the quality of the tuxedos was fantastic, there was a big lacking on the service/communication side of things (i.e. was never told tuxedos were in, had to keep calling in rather than business keeping me updated, being told things were ready and coming down to find out parts of order weren’t in yet, constantly telling them one suit is definitely being rented but they continued asking because it was never noted on their end, etc). What was most upsetting, which also goes along with lack of communication, was we were never told that rented tuxedos came from a different company and may look very slightly different than the purchased ones. Which I found out 15 days before my wedding. Not months ago when we purchased all this. I made a point regarding how upset I was about this and in all honesty, if I knew this beforehand, I would have taken my business elsewhere. There’s zero chance I would want one of my groomsmen standing front and center at my wedding looking different. Ultimately, they made the call to cancel the rental and rather order the exact same tux. They took the time to explain why they do this, and while it makes sense, it should have been made aware upfront; again, not 15 days before my wedding. The (purchased) tuxedos look very nice, but beware of potential issues regarding communication and if looking to mix purchasing and renting for major events such as a wedding. I commend them for making this situation right at the end of the day.

My experience at Valentin's was the best I've had at a tailor in my life. I'm not well-versed in upscale clothing and needed a suit on short notice. He was very accommodating and helped pull it together in a professional and timely fashion. I cannot recommend them enough.

Valentin is a master of his craft, and provided a wonderful experience from beginning to end. With relatively short notice, he sized me up and tailored a suit for my upcoming wedding which I will be proud and confident to wear. I will absolutely return and do business with him in the future, and highly recommend him to anyone in need of fine clothing.

I have gained weight over the years and found myself needing a new suit. Valentin’s was recommended by a couple of friends as the best in Rochester. The owner was not just a professional, he was so kind and understanding that he put me at ease and made the entire process easy. In a world of consistent poor customer service, this business is an absolute gem. I only wish that I could give them more stars…

Valentin's is the kind of store that is getting harder and harder to find - a place where you can develop a relationship with the people there and learn about the value of what they do. I am a classical musician who performs a lot, so after my old black suit started to deteriorate, I decided to try out Valentin's for a higher quality suit. His in-house brand is fantastic in its quality and value. I am tall and thin (6'1", 165 lbs.), and the more "European" cut fit perfectly. He really knows what he is doing, and is accommodating to all sizes and budgets. After this, I also bought a navy blue suit from him, which I asked to have shipped to my apartment in Baltimore. However, due to covid, shipping was delayed. Valentin called me personally at every step of the shipping process to let me know where my suit was and when he estimated it would arrive. When it arrived, I didn't even need to have it pressed, as it was clearly packed by someone who knew what they were doing. Rochester is lucky to have someone as kind, knowledgable, and sincere as Valentin. I suggest you give him a try!

If you like my clothes, now you know my secret. I started buying suits from Valentin when I had a high profile job that required me to dress better than I could afford. Valentin carries an Italian designer, Bresciani, that makes handmade suits, sport coats, and blazers so close to my measurements that they look bespoke. It's easy to spend a lot of money at Valentin's, but he can also work within a budget if you know what you need, and he has great taste. You will leave this store looking your best.

Key takeaway: Valentin will take care of you.I had to get my pants tailored for an emergency event. The man told me not to worry, he could have them done in two days, coming through as a lifesaver.In addition to their vast inventory of bespoke suit options, this business genuinely cares about how you look and feel in the clothing, with excellent customer service.I actually moved away a few years ago, and yet he still remembered my name. I may not live in the area anymore, but Valentin will always be my suit guy.Check this place out if you need a suit, tie, shoes, or whatever accessory. They will take care of you.

The best place in upstate New York to get a custom suit. Val and his team go above and beyond with anything they do. They have great Italian leather shoes to order as well. Amazing prices, even better service. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

I called on a Monday to schedule a fitting for my wedding I'm have in Aug 22. We got to talking and told him I'm a marine , my sizes, my favorite color, and what I liked in a suit right. He gets me to come in that day, has a suit already ready for me I mean I looked and looked and he picked the best suit only needed to tailor the pants. Then when I'm looking for accessories like cuff links , pocket square, and tie he worked with me ,my taste and what my fiance is going to be wearing had it tailored in a week military discount on top of it. Couldn't have had a better experience he was very personal and professionalJust have to say this man was the best and made you feel good to be in his shop
