When I first looked up the post office close to me on Google, I got a little nervous that the one on Lake avenue was going to be as rough as your reviews. But whatever. Dealt with worse, so I went anyways. Ready to deal with Jason and his terrible customer service, but I was pleasantly surprised by meeting Patrice who is very helpful and enthusiastic.

Lock the door twenty minutes before closing time and refuses to service customers (jason) Called me a racial slur that slammed the door in my face. When I politely asked if I could just get this one very important package out. The store closed at 5 PM I was standing outside at 4:40 PM. The door was locked

I made a mistake and used the priority labels and the worker there told me, I have to use them to send my packages. I was over charged and, not pleased. I still wonder if that was a race thing.

I went here to apply for a new passport after making an appointment online only to show up and the only person there working wasn’t even certified. Why even offer appointments or advertise that your office can do passports if you don’t have proper staff available….

Normally I receive great service. But Jason decided to be very disrespectful about certified mailing, I have to do for my job. It is mandated for me to do and brings in his job alot of money. Complaining about it and being disrespectful to the customer is completely unacceptable! I hope his boss sees this and he gets a clue!!!

Racially discriminated against by Lea (clerk 35). I was refused service at 11:44a. I exited the store as three other customers entered and were served. I watched from my car. I then re-entered at 11:50am to be served and to get Lea’s information to file a formal complaint as she was serving one of the four white presenting people who entered after I was turned away.At 11:58am, I told Lea that I was an attorney and that I would be filing a formalComplaint. It would have been easier at that time for her to admit her fault and allow me to send my package to which she obliged.I retuned with my items to mail at 11:59a and realized that I did not trust Lea to maintain the integrity to ship my items without incident or loss. I purchased a mailer and proceeded to East Ridge PO to shop my items.I hope Lea learns from this incident and that whatever deep seeded biases she may have or that whatever is causing her to be a sub par postal employee or contributing to her having bad days improves over the course of her life.The management at this store should re-evaluate their employees so that these incidents do not repeat as patterns of poor behavior and treatment.
