Unfortunately, you cannot find a consistently good drive thru car wash these days… whether it’s rapid car wash, Delta Sonic, etc.
One day it will be great and then you could go couple days later and it’s terrible.
I was curious to why this was so I asked my neighbor who is a chemical engineer (he specifically works for car wash companies) and he said, that the quality of the wash all depends on the upkeep of the machines (Proper disbursement of chemicals, dryer upkeep, & maintenance in general.)
With the exception of the Victor location, I find that no matter where I go I always end up having to dry parts of my car off and 9/10 have to buff out large areas..
The most expensive wash leaves residue all over black vehicles (the “hot wax”), so now I tend to go the middle of the road or just do the basic wash - surprisingly I have found that the basic package to be the best.
On top The service being mediocre, the pricing is out of control!

I put in 4 quarters for the vacuum and nothing happened. Also there is no change machine or card option for the vacuum, so if you don't have the quarters you're out of luck (or in luck, given the broken machine thing)

This car wash barley washes my car. It's filthy still. I can't even tell I went through the car wash. The machine leaks a ton of water I'm wondering if it's broken?

I feel like the quality of the wash has gone down (like they changed the chemicals or diluted them too much) and recently I've had an issue getting barcodes to scan from the 2/$20 offer.

The machine broke down in the middle of the wash cycle. This was the second time it happened on a few weeks.
