Red Roof Inn Rochester - Airport offers basic but decent accommodations near Rochester Airport, making it a convenient choice for travelers. The hotel is located in an industrial and railroad area, with easy access to the airport and nearby shopping centers, restaurants, and services within a short drive. The exterior appears clean and well-maintained, and the hotel provides ample parking. Inside, guests find friendly and helpful staff, with some staff members, like the reception team, earning praise for their assistance. The rooms have been somewhat updated, featuring new floors, light fixtures, and furniture. They are generally clean and include amenities such as a microwave, mini fridge, TV, and plentiful outlets. However, some rooms have issues like a strong smoky odor, especially in non-smoking rooms that were fully booked, and the bathroom doors sometimes do not close properly. Guests should bring their own toiletries, as these are not provided. The carpets in hallways are in need of deep cleaning or replacement, as they sometimes emit a smoky or bleach smell. The hotel accommodates residents and travelers alike, which can lead to trash outside rooms and some unsightly hallways, but the atmosphere is not threatening or unsafe. While the hotel is not very walkable due to its location, it feels safe, and guests generally report a positive experience, especially considering the affordable rates. The on-site amenities include laundry facilities, vending machines, and area brochures. Overall, with some minor improvements, Red Roof Inn Rochester - Airport is a budget-friendly option that offers comfortable, clean rooms and friendly service, especially suitable for those needing proximity to the airport or on a budget.
In all my years are traveling this is The worst red roof I’ve ever stayed in. Reminded me more of a Motel 6: Two towels, one hand towel, one face cloth in the bathroom. The rooms smell horribly ugly. We had to fight to change rooms. Even at 6pm they were not ready. The attention is terrible. The only good thing is that it is next to the airport. The whole hotel smells disgusting. You have to have the stomach to be there. I don't recommend it except for the airport

Not bad but my room smelt a bit moldy and I couldn't take a shower and the heat took a bit of work to turn on & the TV didn't work at all but otherwise not bad at all but for $147 I expected better tho
