Whole Foods sure knows about presentation and making their food taste delicious. I stopped in for a few items this afternoon. I decided to grab a Make Your Own Pizza with baby Bella's, broccoli, grilled chicken, and scallions. A winner for sure and will be doing it again soon. There wasn't anything to say about the service as I did self-checkout. There was only one lane open otherwise. The ambiance and food quality are what make me keep coming back to Whole Foods. They're consistent and that's super important as prices continue to soar. The other pictures besides my pizza are items I decided not to buy this time around, however showcases the seasonal variety they offer.

Super convenient; parking is not a problem despite all the hoopla during the development phase and best of all the food is terrific. Service is also done well with store being appropriately staffed. The Danielle family understands service and it shows in this store.Definitely go try it out if you have not already.Bill

A lot of the produce is affordable. I do wish their app was better, like their competitors app. But, the prepared foods is so good. Such a HUGE selection of foods, some healthy, some not. When I go grocery shopping I rarely have enough time to make dinner so this helps to grab something quick to eat. This store is a nice addition to Rochester

I've waited a long time for this store to open. I've been going to Whole Foods in Buffalo every few months while waiting. I have to say the Buffalo store is better. I've been to the Rochester store every few weeks since they opened. I've stopped buying produce here after ending up with moldy or rotten vegetables and fruit a few times. Their vegan cold case selection is better than the Wegmans closest to me (which is awful) but not nearly as good as the Pittsford Wegmans. For the past couple of trips they've been out of refrigerated vegan egg products. I can't even tell if they still carry them. They still have more vegan frozen meat substitutes and products than most Wegmans stores and I can still find some products here that I can't find in other stores but overall the store somewhat disappointing. Today the packaged bread section was half empty and the baked goods were scarcer than normal. A lot of the baked goods just look shipped in and not very appealing. Many aisles throughout the store had empty shelves. This is still a great place for shelf stable items and personal care products, with a selection superior to other area grocery stores But that's not enough to convince me to come weekly. At least they had one checkout lane open, unlike the last time when you had to use self checkout. I hope they step it up because I'd like to look forward to shopping here again.

I am not sure what all the fuss is. It is a large, bright store. But the prices are so high. They did have samples throughout the store but they were open and not covered. It's worth it to go and see the store.

Amazing store!! It's clean and everyone is super friendly. I had to drop off a package for return and the individual at the front counter greeted me with a welcome smile. Then I got my groceries. Everything is reasonable priced and great selection. I had a mango cut at the veggie station and the worker (something with an R) was epitome of customer service. He explained to me how to pick a mango and how to cut it up. Let's just say Whole Foods as a new customer and I will be cancelling my wegmans membership.

Almost couldn't contain my excitement with Whole Foods coming to Rochester... fourth time here and wholly disappointed. You can do better- it's been proven in many other stores. From availability, sales, and even maybe actually having a register open (today only self checkout). Hoping this store works harder to compete. Overall helpful team at every turn is a huge plus and that's been a consistent positive experience here at the very least

This new Whole Food location is larger and has more parking than appears if you just drive by it. There is a great selection of organic and all-natural items as well as products from brands that you can't find in other stores locally. The "kids club" with free treats for children and fresh flowers throughout the store are nice touches. It's a great change of pace from the other local grocers.

We went to check out in the self checkout. My husband placed his basket underneath the counter where we would at Wegmans to have it picked up. The guy tells my husband you can take the basket and put it back at the entrance. The service manager looks and says nothing and then my husband said to him we have a full bag and the handle broke. The guy looks at him and says you can put the basket where you found it. We would never be treated this way at Wegmans, Trader Joe's or Tops.Worst service ever!!!

I am so happy that Whole Foods Market came to Rochester, New York. This store has brought back things that Rochester consumers were used to getting from our homegrown major supermarket which has been taken away. The self-serve salad bar/ hot foods and bulk food items options are especially good for those who don't require large amounts of pre-packaged foods. And the liberty to select what you want without question on your salad or hot food bar is appreciated.

The healthier options is what gets Whole Foods its 5 star. Being able to have access to the exclusive brands I can only get in California also makes me so happy and excited to shop here. The only real con about this location is the lack of a coffee bar/juice bar. I was looking forward to fresh squeezed orange juice that I rely on from the La Jolla location when I'm there so imagine my disappointment. I also enjoy the green juices they make and bottle in store, so that was a real bummer. I do appreciate the extra self checkout counters to help move the line along. However, the amount of space between the regular check out counters and shoppers is not quite wide enough, so the traffic/spacing to check out creates a bit of anxiety for us who like our personal space, but the lines move really fast. All the foods I tried at the hot bar were delicious. I know some may say the food has been sitting out there for a while, but they make it fresh, and replenish it frequently. Again the ease in getting healthier options at a trustworthy provider makes life so much easier especially with all the fast-food temptations close by!

I've now been to WF three times since it's opened and have had a chance to try a number of different products. The store is often derided as "Whole Paycheck" due to its high prices, but I think it has a number of positive attributes.Pros:1) Excellent hot foods bar - huge selection, lots of healthy options, and reasonable prices. Wegmans, take note!2) Reasonable prices on *some* items (e.g., some produce, seafood, prepared foods, baby formula, some salad dressings, etc.). If you shop around, you can definitely find products that are not any more expensive than Wegmans or Whole Foods.3) Their cookie bar has yummy treats (I've tried a few and all were very good, though on the sweeter side) and is the same price as Wegmans', if not slightly cheaper.4) Their store brand hummus is very good (probably the best store-brand hummus I've brought). At $3.99 for a container, I do wish the container were slightly larger, but it is what it is.5) Unlike Wegmans, they don't charge you for paper bags...6) Beautiful store, wide aislesCons:1) It's generally very expensive. $10 for a box of chicken nuggets? $6 for a loaf of bread? A sandwich in the prepared foods area goes for like $15-$17 (which I think includes sides). Moreover, they carry some of the same brands / products you see in Wegmans and other grocery stores, except at noticably marked up prices...It will be interesting to see if there is sustainable demand for such expensive groceries in this area, especially in the current economic environment.2) They have lots of unique and interesting products but, following-up on the last comment, their high prices discourage me from wanting to take a chance and try them. So far, I've tried a few different products that I've found unsatisfactory: i) their Southwest Chicken Salad (prepared food section; costs $10 but is huuuge) - found it just very creamy but without much taste; ii) their cheese breadsticks; costs about $6-7 - again, doesn't have much tase; iii) vegetarian dan dan noodles (prepared food section; costs $7); generous portion but has a really weird taste. And the same goes for other product categories, such as salad dressings - they have a lot of interesting looking salad dressings, but at $7+ for some of them, I won't try them because of price.3) The parking lot is weirdly designed. I could see lots of accidents / traffic jams happening in the store's vicinity. That being said, I've been to this store several times now in its first week of business and haven't had any issues getting in or out or finding parking.Verdict:I'll mainly come back for their prepared food section and their hummus. Might try their produce section as well and their fresh fish - which look amazing (not cheap, but definitely look fresh, high quality).

Awesome, now there are THREE grocery stores within a half mile of each other. Just what we needed. "Oh but this one is *special!*" No it's not, unless "special" is code for "outrageously expensive." And one of the worst areas for traffic around here just got much much worse. If you're wondering where to find it, it's between the overpass that's corroding so bad you can see all the rebar in the concrete, the *rusty* rebar, and the section of monroe where you have to do a little slalom to avoid all the potholes.hooraaaaaayyyyyyyy.

Finally!!!!!Ok this took about NINE WHOLE YEARS TO OPEN.. why you know why Wegman's.Ok just to give you some info I've been to the flagship store in Austin, TX and in other cities/states. Whole Foods is one of those places where if your looking for something better or specific they will probably have it.I was able to find a specific French butter than I was only able to order online and it's much cheaper in store. I wanted All Butter Puff Pastry from Dufour yea it's pricy but no one around here has an All Butter Puff Pastry and Trader Joe's only has it once a year. The produce is stunning, the seafood is excellent and they have some good prices and on Friday you can get a dozen oysters for $12 that a good deal. The Meat & Poultry is stunning and it's worth a look and a buy.The Milk/Dairy/Eggs are $$ but it's good stuff and they have vegan and non dairy alternatives. Now if you have certain dietary restrictions this place can help you out. They have hot food to go, beautiful flowers, a bakery and lots of stuff to see.If you are an Amazon Prime Member just open up your app and click on the In-Store Code. You can get 10% off or so or less depending. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and happy you are here. Everyone seems to know what's what including the people in Seafood/Meat and etc. Yea it's not cheap but I think it's a much needed addition to the area.Parking they have there own lot and you can also park in the other parts of the mall/area.Give them a whirl. Il be back
