I brought my car there after running over a deer. Had a number of issues, some of which were far from trivial. All necessary repairs were made at a high professional level. Received excellent service and attitude from John Furey and his team.

Very dishonest. Never fixed a noise problem after accident. When I brought it back they said I did it after accident totally lied.

Took my car here after getting a quote approved for reimbursement for paint work around my windshield. I organized drop off two weeks ahead of time based on their calendar and was given a 5 day estimated time for repair. 3 days in, I had not gotten any updates. I called to follow up and they shared that they had found additional damage and needed to re-quote the work. This gave me big hesitation considering they were the 4th location I had gotten a quote from and no-one else saw any additional damage. I agreed to have them send a new quote over for approval to see what it was about.The next day, I learned they had not done any additional work to submit the quote based on a call I received to get the windshield put back in. When I called to get an update, they screened my calls. Magically, my husband called and got an immediate answer. He asked to speak directly to Ralph, the collision manager. He informed my husband no progress was made because he basically didn't do his job. By the end of the week my car had been there 5 days and had not been touched. Naturally I was frustrated and confused. I organized to have the windshield reinstalled, and the car taken back with no work completed.Worst part? The company I authorized to put the windshield back in was able to just take my car and go..without Mac's calling me for approval. I was drawn to this location based on it being a family owned business, but going forward I will only work with corporate chains that have accountability in their actions.

Would give zeros stars if that were an option. It took me calling Ralph after screening my wife’s phone calls to get an answer as to why there had been no commutation to either us or safelite after THREE DAYS of our vehicle being in their possession without any work being done. The excuse that more damage had been done to the vehicle would be valid if that was actually the case and any party needed to be communicated with was contacted. Instead I was met with “well we hadn’t gotten around to it”. So back to square one. Would recommend any other shop in the area that follows up with their customers and is transparent during the process.

I have been a Mac's II customer for over thirty years and they are the best shop in Rochester. Unfortunately for me, I have hit a few deer over the years and Mac's II collision has come to the rescue. I went into Mac’s Auto Service today to get my car inspected. A few hours later I received a phone call from them saying my car won’t pass inspection as my transmission fluid was leaking and I needed my left and right front control arm worked on and then my car to get re aligned. I was told this would cost around $1,000. I wanted to get a second opinion, so I drove my car to a dealership where they performed the inspection. My car passed the inspection and the dealership said if those were really the true issues, then I wouldn’t be able to drive my car. I’m very disappointed as I’ve been to Mac’s Auto Service in the past and have loved their service. However, this most recent experience has caused me to lose my trust in them.

Took my truck there after hitting a deer and they replied it. When I went to pick it up 7 days after leaving it I noticed the paint wasn't even close to the same color and it liiked textured like a orange. I was told because the bumper was plastic the color would look different. I asked why it didn't look different before the accident ? I spoke to the manager and they said they would fix it. A few days later it was fix (it still looked off but it was much closer so I took the truck) this all happened October 2021. The other day I was washing my truck and noticed the bumper looked funny upon closer inspection I noticed the clear coat is separating from the bumper. I called them and they said they would fix it however I am worried about this continuing to be a issue. Personally I am not thrilled about this and I will never bring them another vehicle to repair.

Super honest, great prices, no-BS advice and care. They even have a complimentary shuttle to get you to and from work so you don't have to stay there all day! Walter is the Man!

Estimator was rude and dismissive. Told me he wasn't interested in repairing the damage to my car, only replacing the broken glass. He pushed on the damaged area with his thumb and stated that he wasn't going to bother with the damaged area that would have let the window area leak water into the interior of the door. Insurance company already did the estimate and the estimator implied i could just pocket the difference insted of repairimg my car properly. Avoid this chop shop with all due speed.

I’m always worried with trying a new mechanic, but Mac’s alleviated all my concerns. They quickly diagnosed an issue with my car that hadn’t been diagnosed by previous mechanics. They were super understanding of my position with insurance, and worked to get a win-win solution. Also their turnaround was very fast, especially at a time when other mechanics are very backed up.
