Really happy with this booking. We booked a double bed suite for a better price than most other hotels. Room was clean, bed was comfy, lots of pillows and blankets, and the suite offered some seperation from the kids. Free parking, friendly staff. Next door to Olive Garden and Applebee's. Free continental breakfast was great (except the 'cheese omelette'that had some sort of cheese spread instead of real cheese).

Rooms are better than expected. Hallways smell like cigarettes even though it's a smoke free hotel. Staff are very friendly.

Great hotel! Super clean, staff so friendly and well situated with restaurants and a small mall within walking distance. Only thing missing is a pool and workout bench in the gym. Otherwise, great place!Rooms: Rooms were slightly on the smaller side, but very comfortable. The bathroom was also quite tiny as well.Walkability: The walkability is excellent with many restaurants and a small mall within walking distance. I'd come back here again.Food & drinks: The free breakfast had enough options and it was a hot breakfast and continental, which is nice. Coffee was always available to go if you wanted.

Minus a hiccup checking in, the rooms were exactly what was needed for a simple overnight stay. I might not recommend this to anyone who's going to be spending a lot of time in their room as they are smaller and on the cramped side, but not claustrophobicly so. Overall a good experience. Very convenient location to stay if you're going to a Kodak Center event.Rooms: Smaller, but comfortable. Beds are on the firmer side but the pillows are luxuriously soft. A decent selection of outlets and a small work space exist. In the bathroom, you'll find just the toilet and shower, the sink is located outside.

For $200 a night I expected a better property. It's an older but renovated property. Unfortunate when you first walk in room odour is musty as in older hotels/motels. Curtains let the back parking lot light in. Unpleased overall. Won't return back to this HI.

Stayed here for work and it was very nice. The rooms were very clean and the staff there was friendly and helpful.Didn't get to do the breakfast because i had to leave early but they have a large area for breakfast and a coffee bar. They also have snacks and drinks available for purchase at the counter.Only issue is the location as during the day the highway is very busy and you can hear it from the rooms.Definitely recommend!

The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was EXTREMELY courteous, helpful, accommodating and attentive. Two workers in particular were named David and Sarah. They worked in the kitchen area during breakfast and was always seen smiling and keeping the place tidy. When we first arrived in the evening (around 7 pm) of 4/27/23, the staff on duty was absolutely amazing. The gentleman made sure we had a crib for our baby and the other 2 ladies were extremely generous and helpful during our check in. The maid service and room cleaner knocked on our door and asked if we needed anything which I thought was absolutely great. I will definitely be here again on my next trip to Rochester

Room reeked of cigarettes. Could not provide us with a different room. Had to pack up and move to a different Holiday Inn which wound up costing us nearly $100 more.

We usually stay with friends or family while up visiting from TX but this year we stayed at this Holiday Inn Express. We stayed 6 nights. There are pros and cons to our stay:Pros:- We loved the location. We have friends and family on both the East side and the West side. We felt this was a great central location to be able to see everyone in a reasonable drive. - close to restaurants, shopping, etc. Lots of options.- The hotel is updated. I do like updated hotels. Some of the pics on Yelp for this place are actually old. - staff were all great. I spoke to a number of housekeeping members and they were all so friendly and helpful. We don't usually like to have our room serviced while we stay. (Kids have so much crap, it'd be too much for them to work around.) Staff gave us new towels and emptied our trash while they were down the hall. - breakfast is offered. We like that there are hot options: some form of eggs and sausage. - Room was comfortable. Bed was a bit on the firm side but it was ok. - mini fridge and microwave in the room. And bonus, the fridge didn't FREEZE all our produce like they normally do. There is also a Kurig coffee maker but we didn't use it.- coffee available in the lobby all day. - my husband said the weight room here is nice. I didn't go in at all. - wifi was decent- We used points to pay for the room.Cons:- some of the renovations seemed shoddy: old outlets/switches (which really date a place. I'm replacing them in our own house. I'm not an electrician and it's not hard), missing caulking on vanity and around the bottom of the toilet. Overall, reno was ok. Just some areas could use a bit more attention to detail.- the area you enter before the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. Gross.- breakfast wasn't great. The ONLY bagels offered every single day were cinnamon raisin. Does ANYONE like these things? My husband made one for the kids because it was the only kind they had... the kids would rather go hungry. I don't blame them, I wouldn't eat one either. - We only stay at Holiday Inn Express and love their "famous" cinnamon rolls. The warmer here was broken so NO CINNAMON ROLLS OUR WHOLE STAY. Boo.- breakfast is only until 9:30am. Now I know, they can't keep breakfast going forever but 9:30 is tough when you are kept up all night by your kids resulting in sleeping in later than you normally would... we missed breakfast 2x and then other times we got down at like 9:20am only to be told by the attendant that she would be closing soon.- shower made a high pitched noise about 2 minutes into your shower. Sound didn't stop until you turned off the water. Didn't make for a relaxing shower experience. - our room key stopped working 3 different times. Not fun when you get to your room around 10:30pm with sleepy kids and have to run back down to the front desk to have it re-programmed again and again and again. - Oddly, there was never anyone at the front desk. It's always nice to be greeted when you enter a hotel or to know that someone is there to make sure random people don't waltz in... but nope. Always 2 empty desk areas. Weird. Someone would appear if you NEEDED them but no one was ever out there normally. - no pool (I know not many hotels around here do). Would have been nice.- construction along the right side driveway. Not necessarily the hotel's fault but was cumbersome nonetheless.

Lobby looks nothing like the pictures! The breakfast area it's 3:41 pm. and it was still dirty. Heavy set guy attending the front said his last name was Rodriguez like mine, rude. Doesn't have customer service personality at all. Room 123 they gave us had no sink in the bathroom. It was one tiny sink outside the bathroom with no counter at all. As a frequent guest and IHG member. I would not recommend this location.

This hotel is decent but not amazing. Pros - clean room, really good air conditioning and decent price. Cons - no pool, hard to get in and out of the parking lot because of the intersection and poor housekeeping. I know the housekeepers can't go into rooms because of COVID but they should make it easier to track down the items you need. The front desk doesn't have quick access to the towels and other items, and they didn't seem willing to bring things to the room. At one point we ran out of toilet paper and I had to track down a housekeeper to get more. Being proactive could help too - maybe leave fresh towels, toilet paper and soap outside the door for folks who stay for several days like we did. Overall I'd go back but I think next time I would preemptively ask for extra items and stash them to use throughout my stay.
