Momo’s are the best, and the chatpat, chowmein and chicken fry are also good.Talking about groceries, we can find everything like titura, chachar, gundruk, all types of Nepali noodles and all, also some authentic Nepali utensils.

The people are rude, what I ordered for food was not even what was on the menu and when I tried to explain this to the one guy he kept telling me that's how it comes, but it looks nothing like what's on the picture.

I must admit, I had been skeptical of what I would find here. The only source I had found for what this place would hold was an old article from 585mag about the hot sauce they serve with their momos, and there was little online save for a few google reviews from months ago. This Yelp page didn't even exist until I created it. Anyways, it's a small store with a few vegetables (okra) and frozen things (like bread), the usual assortment of huge bags of rice and smaller bags of lentils, spices, and rice flour, etc. But in the back is a literal hole in the wall, behind which is a kitchen, and above which is a menu. But they don't have most of the things on the menu---just some sort of vegetable stir fry, samosas, momos, and chicken wings. Naturally, momos (a sort of dumpling that exists in different varieties all over the Himalayas) are the thing to order here. The veggie momos were pretty tasty---not super inherently flavorful, but the dumpling outside had a nice amount of give, and the inside---mostly cabbage and onion---was hot and pleasing. They also provide a hot sauce---mentioned in that 585mag article---that's really wonderful and fresh, and complements the texture and slight blandness of the momos well. I do wonder who goes there. I was there around lunch and only 1 or 2 other people came in to get anything. But being a white student, I wouldn't know anything about the Nepali immigrant community here.

I believe this Nepali grocery is the only place in town you can get Momo (dumplings). There's a little kitchen in the back and it's a little hit and miss with what is available, but you'll get dishes here with flavor profiles that I think you can't get anyplace else in town (please correct me if you know another Nepali joint).

I'm not familiar with traditional nepalese food so I can't speak to authenticity - but their momo's and chat pat are some of the best food I've had in Rochester.

Grocery store is decent, but the food is horrible. They even put chana (dried chickpeas) in samosa and chicken chowmein. Chicken momo was filled with cabbage and with very little chicken. I am not hating all the way. I think they have a decent grocery section .
