They didn't properly complete work on my car the first time. When I brought it in to get it fixed the second time, they charged me AGAIN. The staff was dismissive. I paid for diagnostics and they didn't even look under the hood of the car until I gave pushback. Despite them claiming they couldn't hear the noise, they tightened up what they previously worked on and the noise completely disappeared. Staff was very dismissive, didn't do diagnostics until I pushed back, and didn't properly complete job the first time and still charged me the second time I had to come back. Also, they said they would wash my car and I waited an extra 50 min and it wasn't washed.

Sales department was fantastic and would highly recommend.
The service department is horrible! Called for an oil change. They put in a whole service package costing 3xs more than an oil change. During the oil change they came out to try and sell me $1000+ of items I did not need. The cost of an oil change and tire rotation was more than what was listed on the website. Lastly a cockroach crawled across the floor while waiting in the customer lounge. There are so many local reputable mechanics. Take your vehicle to them.

Worst car salesman I’ve ever encountered, I felt like I was the one trying to sell them the vehicle, luckily for them, no one had the vehicle I wanted, believe me, I tried every where. Warranty that covers the same stuff as other places that I’ve used, their warranty is double, even with the 1 k down he “did for us”, which I didn’t purchase, funny part about it, I told them what my last one covered, there was a specific item, plus everything they covered, of course she tried to tell me how good it was, I said no, then showed me another limited plan I would have to purchase to cover the item I described my previous warranty cover, along with everything Bob Johnson covered. Seemed like the tone of the transaction changed when they heard I was paying cash, maybe not, maybe they just suck at this, and have no F’s to give. Unless they have the specific vehicle you are searching for, at a better price, like mine, go else where. My salesman messed up, told me he would come in, so we could get this done, as I was on a time crunch, even put $500 down to just save it for a day, when we went in, assuming they contacted him, basically said the cars not ready, made it seem like I wasn’t walking out with it today, then said how much time do I have, which would’ve been 3 hours, it was late, the next day he just told me how busy he is, it would have to be Saturday, at 11:30, when my family was coming in town, even when he text me in the morning, in it he said he was off yesterday, I said to him, I know you were, you told me you’d come in, we would get it done, zero response to that at all, besides pushing the transaction forward, when I went I today, nether him, or the sales manger came out at all. Like I said, if they have them at vehicle you’re looking for, it’s probably at a better price than the rest, for that part, I commend them, in every other aspect, I would give zero stars if I could.

I have bought several cars from them, if I was rating them on my purchases I would maybe be more generous. They treat their employees very poorly, especially the lot staff, valet and really anyone besides the sales team. Management, hr, the collision shop and service are a complete joke. I’d rather give my future business to west herr or someplace else. If you need a repair I’d highly recommend Redi Imports. They provide higher quality repairs, faster service and lower prices. If you need collision work done go to Austin Spencer. They also provide better service, repairs and significantly lower prices.

Son is attending RIT university and was on a trip this summer from Michigan to Rochester when he broke down 100 miles from goal. Had his equinox towed to Bob Johnson dealership. Service rep. Jack Sessions took my call and had the upmost care, concern, and immediate attention for our situation. The techs performed multiple tests and repaired same day. Jack kept us updated every step of the the repair process. It is comforting to know there are still people in the world like Jack. We whole heartedly recommend this dealership based on our experience with Jack and the service team.

Zero stars if I could. I scheduled an oil change for 6/22/24 at 8 AM. I arrived at Bob Johnson West at 7:50. I waited 15 minutes at the service bay door before a sales rep came out and told me there were no service techs working that day. Complete waste of my time. BTW I bought my car there. Very disappointed.

Dante S. is your best person to go to for all things car. Helped me with picking the best car that works great for me ❤️ I got 2024 Kia Seltos as my first lease. Will and would definitely recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a car

Dante spent an entire day helping me replace and upgrade my VW tiguan. He was calm, not at all pushy, and extremely knowledgeable. I will be telling everyone who will listen to go to him if they find themselves in need of new car! Thank you Dante for making this experience so much less stressful than I expected.

I walked into B. Johnson VW today around 11:35am. and drove away with a new 2023 ID.4 AWD Pro S at 4pm. With federal & state rebates, I saved $8K, and I took advantage of VW's loan special, saving another $4500.
My sales rep, Zach Nower, was refreshing. He spent a lot of time going through the seemingly endless aspects of what the SUV can do. It has amazing software and large interior screen. He made me feel confident knowing how to utilize many of the applications available to me. He was the best car sales rep I had worked with ever!!
