my ancient but superb R-117 Luxman receiver/amplifier/tuner has had problems over the years. Other technicians worked on it and fix the problem, but only briefly. Mark's work has been clearly a cut above and reasonably priced. I'm so glad to have this ancient piece of equipment back in service.

Gold standard. Only place in town where you don’t have to even take the record out of the sleeve. Selection is great and the vibes are low key.

Greatest Hi-Fi store on the planet! I walked in with an interest in getting back in to a hobby I left behind 20+ years ago and Mark got me up and running. He helped me build a system and a vinyl collection I am really proud of. All at competitive, fair prices! Mark and the Hi-Fi Lounge are both Rochester treasures.

Mark has always been super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The shop has a ton of great records and audio gear from speakers, cables, turntables, amps, preamps, cartridges, you name it. Mark has helped me take my Hifi system to the next level. Always a pleasure.

Mark at Hi Fi Lounge helped me value and sell my father's stereo equipment. He was extremely knowledgeable, honest and kind. I would not hesitate to do business with him again, and there's no way I'd go elsewhere to purchase audio equipment.

Small shop with lots of inexpensive finds if you are looking for albums. They have some cd's too. The owner was very accommodating. He looked for some music for me, and my husband wanted to hear some speakers he didn't have out. He set them up so he could listen. Not to mention he stayed almost an hour after closing to help us out since we live over an hour and a half away. Can't wait to get the new speakers hooked up. We will be back!! Thank you so much!

I was looking to get back into vinyl. I bought a used receiver and brand new turntable. Mark was awesome! He not only tested my old speakers for us, but also went over everything in detail so we knew how to hook up the receiver, turntable and speakers.
