Diagnosing problems I wouldn’t say IS NOT their strong point since I called with codes and they were the only mechanic I had spoken to that couldn’t tell me the issue or the cost without coming in.
Seemed like he just wanted to get me to come in.

These guys helped us out SO MUCH! We were all set to drive from Rochester back to Washington D.C. on Saturday morning, when our car wouldn't start. After a couple of hours of getting a jump (just to rule out battery), calling to see what places were open on a Saturday (not many), and finally getting a AAA tow truck (guy went to the wrong Wegman's parking lot so it was over an hour wait), we finally made it to Cando's around 1:45pm. Even though their official business hours were until 3pm on Saturdays, these guys stayed open to do everything they could to get us on the road. They had to order three different starters because the first two delivered were already used and didn't work. Nevertheless, they got us on the road a little after 4pm.They had great attitudes, they were friendly, they listened to our thoughts and concerns even though we know very little about car engines. If they hadn't stuck around and got our car fixed, we would have had to stay an additional two nights (at least) in Rochester since all the auto shops are closed on Sundays. Instead, we were able to drive most of the way back on Saturday, stay the night in PA, and make it home just before 1pm on Sunday (still not ideal, but no disruptions to our work week starting today, Monday).Thank you, Cando's team. The mechanics here are very professional. I came here for an oil change about 6 weeks ago and then I got my brakes and rotors put on this past Saturday. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for affordable pricing for having their car repairs done.
