My guess is, this review is on the same person treating customers horribly and as if they're a burden. Called to see if they'd be getting a shipment of something in. Met with big sighs and attitude, acting as if I was a huge burden for calling in. Used to love this place as a kid, but after the way I was treated, never going here or calling in, ever again

Went in while on vacation to see about some Warhammer stuff. He had a bookshelf and then some of varies boxes. Not specifically what I was looking for but he offered to order anything if he didn't have what I needed. I told him I was out of town so that wouldn't work. I did pick up the newest index cards for space Marines at a great price. I'll update them with the balance changes when I get home.

Went for a Magic night because their prices are better than other stores in the area. Was met with an employee who was a jerk to customers, and insisted on playing in the draft, making uneven player pods. That's fine, until I found he makes the groups such that he doesn't have to play with certain less desirable clients, which means I as a new customer, was forced to. Not to mention the prizes were significantly worse than other stores. Never go to Boldo's for Magic. Just play with your friends or shell out extra to play with pleasant people.

I've long dabbled in Magic the Gathering which has taken me from big stores to literal dungeon basements hidden by a trap door. Boldo's is closer to the second experience; it's on the smaller side, dark, and mysterious. The store has two floors, the first has their small selection of games and cards for sale while the second is overflow for their events. While it may not have the size and selection of other stores it does make up for it in charm and small local business. The people who run the events are knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate making it my preferred place when I'd play in leagues. Hungry? Ashort walk or drive from great good like Han's or Dogtown, you can satisfy your hankerings while doing a marathon of pre-release events. Boldo's is truly a hidden gem for tabletop enthusiasts of Rochester.

Small shop with irregular hours. From time to time, you can find a game at a discounted rate

Never have I felt more like a burden when going to a place to shop....I came here with my husband and we were not welcomed by any employee, we walked around for quite awhile and no one said anything to us.Also there was a campaign going on so we were sure to be respectful and quiet, but we still got such nasty looks from the players, as though we were out of place for being in the store to begin with.I would not go back to this store - it is not worth the cold shoulder.

Boldo's is a wonderful step into the past of gaming. If tabletop, cards and board games are your niche, this is the store for you!

Never have what you're looking for kind of rude too. If you're a magic player I suppose going there might be beneficial if you want to pay a little bit more for cards

Great prices, knowledge staff, huge variety crammed into a small place. Avoid parking in the lot, there's a bit of a pothole problem.

DON’T GO HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN. Guys who work here were super sexist (in the talk over you and not actually help with anything sort of way) and the place was super dirty.
