I had an amazing shopping experience at West Elm Outlet in Riverhead! The discounts are unbeatable – 40% off almost everything in the store, plus an extra 10% off from Monday to Friday. The selection of modern furniture and home accessories is impressive, and I was thrilled to find that rugs have a 50% discount as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for stylish and affordable furniture!

Essentially all furniture was over $700 unless it was severely damaged or essentially unusable. Few options were good.

The selection is actually really great and with huge discounted prices. I was very impressed! On top of that, the staff was so sweet, so helpful, and accomodating! Great service and treatment. Thank you West Elm staff!

We had a great experience from start to finish with Tanisha! She was professional, friendly, engaging, efficient, and super helpful from start to finish. What a great experience all around. The delivery that was arranged by Tanisha for us was seamless. We love our new couch!

I frequent this area of Long Island as much as possible and was super excited to take my S.O. (+ our small dog) to the west elm Outlet and sister stores next door. I do not live close to the area by any means; however, I've personally been to these outlets over a dozen times and accumulated thousands of dollars of great furniture pieces and decor. That all changed this past Friday, March 24th, 2023 just around 1pm when my S.O. was kindly granted permission to use the bathroom by a west elm Outlet employee at the front checkout counter. He went ahead to the bathroom, I waited for him to finish up so I can go in next. As I approached the bathroom, I was stopped by an elderly female employee who (if her hands weren't full) would have absolutely wagged her finger in my face but thankfully all she did was aggressively tell me off in public in the most degrading of ways. I felt so disrespected and embarrassed by that experience that I'll never be back here again and I'll make sure everyone I've recommended this store to knows about this. Back to restoration hardware it is!

Store has variety but customer service is horrendous! My husband and I like a piece of furniture which had a price tag on it and was marked down $500 from the original price. Loved the piece and that being a outlet store we knew we were getting a west elm furniture piece for great deal! Go to the counter and the staff refuse to sell us the piece of furniture for the price listed!!! Kept saying someone “made up the price “ and none of the employees wrote the price tag etc.we kindly asked if they can honor it as the price tag clearly list the sale price and SOMEONE (employee) from the store had to make the price tag. No matter what we said they simply kept refusing. Did not end up buying it only because of their serviceI would not be returning to this location ever again.

While there are a variety of great goods here, for an outlet, things are way overpriced.

Wow. I had an issue with an item I purchased that was mislabeled and the great managers here, Alex and David, proactively searched to find the correct item in their inventory and then shipped it to me post haste. Alex even refunded my return shipping on a final sale item. What great customer service!

I recently purchased a townhome in Country Point in Yaphank, NY. One of the reasons I purchased was because the staging of the homes were so beautiful and I was told some of the furniture was purchased at West Elm. My husband and I had an opportunity to visit yesterday the store in Riverhead, NY. As expected the furniture and just about everything in the store was beautiful. I wanted it all!!! I was about to purchase two beautiful night stands and a dresser (40% off). I notice two of the dresser two of the top draws were not working to well. I was advised by the gentleman who asked if we needed help to speak with the front desk. When my husband and I approached the gentleman at the front desk, I greeted him and passed him the three tickets for my purchase, as well told him that I notice two draws on the dresser were not working properly, if he would consider taking an additional off the sale price. He quickly said "no" that's the reason it's priced at such. While standing listening to him, my husband asked to use the men's room and was told by him (i.e. "C") that they were about to close that he can go next door to pottery barn and ask to use their bathroom. Once I got in my car, I started thinking about what just happen and was applaud. I'm about to spend over $1500 dollars in your store and your going to send me next store to pottery barn because you about to close? How rude and unprofessional is this? Just to add, we got to the store at 6:15-6:30pm. Also while we were leaving another couple and a child entered the store. I had an opportunity to call West Elm today and spoke with the store manager Robin. She was very attentive and apologize for our experience. and said she would speak to the store manager from yesterday evening. Who I'm just finding out was the store manager. How pathetic and unacceptable, unacceptable this behavior. Robin went on to explain how items are priced and how the store manager could have taken a walk with me as the potential buyer to see if additional could be taken off. Sadly the store manager from yesterday didn't even offer, flat out said no. Nonetheless, I share my story so that perhaps someone else does not experience what we did. Again, this manager lacked people skills, yet he will not stop me from visiting and purchasing from West Elm. What I'm happy about is that I had an opportunity to speak with Robin the store manager, who was helpful and had a good listening ear. As well confirmed that she would speak to the store manager from yesterday, which I'm glad because he needs to know his actions were unacceptable. I'm sure West Elm management team would not be impressed. Lastly, cultural diversity is so important and should be a training for all managers and staff in all public businesses. It truly helps those who have not been exposed to people that don't look like them an opportunity to learn about other cultures so that our individual perceptions can be broaden to understand other people differences. This is the beauty of diversity. Yaphank, NY
