Absolutely Delish - my first time and certainly not my last. The service is warm and welcoming, and the food is amaaazing! I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. My friend had the Eggs Benedict with waffles and a side of grits. I was sold with my first forkful of the biscuits and gravy. My tongue was joyfully dancing as the flavors permeated it, releasing a slow 3-part "umm" sound paired with closed eyes and a smile. I savored each bite just to relish the experience. And the portion was rather generous. My friend enjoyed her meal as well, though the grits were our least favorite. What a wonderful meal to start the day.

Great old school diner with friendly service. My burger was just right, and the fries were awesome. My colleague had an omelette and was happy.

This is the first time we have been since new ownership. I had the eggs Benedict and my wife had the scallion cheddar bacon egg skillet and my son had the farmers platter. Everyone enjoyed their dish. The skillet was hot, cheesy and loaded with bacon. The farmers platter was the least exciting, eggs, bacon and sausage, toast and short stack of pancakes. I thought it was a little expensive at $16.00. The eggs Benedict was delicious. Eggs cooked just right - whites not runny but creamy yolks. The hollandaise sauce was just right. Great rich but light consistency. My only complaint was no potatoes with the EB. I like to use the potatoes to get all the sauce leftover. My reason for the 4 stars. Staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place and will be back

Parking was easy in the lot behind the diner - the side door opens into the alley. Cozy and welcoming neighborhood place. I had the breakfast wrap - eggs, ham, cheese and home fries in a wrap. It was delicious. My companion had the banana/chocolate chip pancakes and enjoyed them. She ordered a side order of bacon which was too large for her to eat. The waitress was very attentive and the place was very clean. We will definitely be back.

This appears to be where locals come to for breakfast. Nice old style diner setting in old downtown area...Main Street...well ya!! So I'm planning a waffle, eggs and potatos. Since 1932 sign says. Potatoes are excellent build. Lots like my Grandma Irma made. So I like them! Waffle...just ok. Pretty heavy and not so great. Eggs just right. I'll come back.

A great breakfast/ lunch spot while visiting Riverhead on this day after the day after Christmas- superb breakfast fare - eggs over easy and apple cinnamon oatmeal cooked to order satisfied my husband- I love my avo- toast- perfectly cooked sunny side egg over an avocado , spread over whole wheat toast- a balsamic glaze on top- grape tomatoes on the side -- healthy, delicious-- can't wait to come by again!! Weekend dinners are a must I hear!!! Great service btw- and wonderful owners !!

This location is the ideal "old fashioned dinner". The waitress was very attentive and the food was brought out very fast. The home fries are one of the best I have had in a while. I ordered the nutella and banana waffle and it was delicious. Above all, great and fast service.

Sunny's is a cute, warm, friendly diner and grill on Main Street in downtown, historical Riverhead. The staff is friendly, funny and accommodating and the food was amazing! My fiancé got the thanksgiving sandwich( thanksgiving meals are her favorite) and i got the grilled cheese special with 2 cheeses and meatloaf melted onto sourdough bread. They were just phenomenal sandwiches. My fiancé and I are getting married in May at the Suffolk Theater down the road from the diner and We loved the place so much we decided this would be our day-after wedding brunch spot! We met with the owner, Jimmy, who couldn't have been nicer and accommodating. If you want that old school, small town local feel and you also want amazing food, then this is the place! Can't wait to come back.

Had breakfast here 2 weeks ago on a weekday. We were seated pretty qickly, food came out quickly too. Everything was delicious. Staff were attentive. My only issue is when they started getting busy, I had to wait about 15 minutes for my bill. But, would go back for the food.

We stopped in at Sunny's for breakfast while in Riverhead. If you've ever wondered what the "greasy spoon diner" is, this is it! It's a classic dining car that serves classic diner selections. As such, we had the classic bacon/eggs/sausage/omelette/home fries/toast/coffee/tea/orange juice breakfast. All were what we would expect, but the home fries were made with paprika: unusual and delicious! Service is hard to judge as we arrived before 8:00 AM to an empty diner. More help arrived as we were eating, so I'm guessing that it peaks out at a later time. Prices seemed a little high, but ALL Long Island prices seem high to us (we're from rural PA). We'll likely return if ever in the area again.

Omg this place is amazing. Was up here djing a wedding last night and was really wanting some delicious diner food and Sunny's delivered. I got the veggi omelet w jack cheese and it was perfect and then the Challa French toast w vanilla cream and raspberry sauce really completed everything I ever wanted. Highly recommended.

Opened early, no wait. Awesome breakfast choices. We had corned beef casserole and omelettes. Service was superb, food delicious and plentiful. Enjoy

The service was a little slow, I think maybe they were understaffed that day. Other than that, the food was amazing. I got a dish named Construction Chris and it smelled better than the entire rest of my table's food. Glad I found this place !

Highly recommended! We found this great diner on Yelp. We received a friendly greeting when we walked in. The competent service was delivered with a smile. This place has a clean and charming atmosphere. I had the Avo Tomo... it was delicious! My partner had one of the griddle egg dishes which was also amazing. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area again.
