Three stars? Heck no. Love this oasis in the desert of the east end for shopping for household items. Next door and part of Homesense is Homegoods and Marshalls. Though it is a step up it succeeds in bringing the east end seasonal, house wares, decor and furniture. Best selection of small or full sized rugs out here also. In spring and early summer they have an amazing outdoor selection of patio furniture, umbrellas, outdoor rugs, built in bbqs etc.

I come to this home sense all of the time however my last experience was very unpleasant. I shopped for my items and when I approached the register to checkout I was greeted with "are you okay" for no apparent reason. As I was searching through my wallet for my gift card the cashier Margaret said it was too late to pay with a gift card after only a minute. I was confused as why it was too late as she never asked if I had a gift card or not or how I would be paying. She then said next time you should approach the counter with my gift card in hand and tell the cashier immediately that I'm paying with a gift card. I have never experienced this scenario in a retail store and it was apparent that she had made a mistake and not only that but was deliberately trying to put the mistake on my hands. Margaret was very rude and I don't plan on shopping at this location again.

This store is my literal heaven. Amazingly priced candles and an incredible selection of decor. The staff is very inviting and the environment is extremely welcoming. Highly recommend!

I saw a water print wall art sitting with other water prints. They were all similar size all with 29.99 on the label. ... Except this one ( there were two ) that I looked at. Naturally, based on the similarities of the others I assumed it was 29.99. BTW every single item was priced except the ones in front that I liked. Just my luck.. Two of the same prints a female shape outline.. thought it might look good in my bathroom.I walked around looked at other things .. went next door to Home Goods .. did nit see anything that I liked as much.. So I decided 30 is not bad fior this item to put in my bathroom. I took the item up to the cashier.. she called someone over since there barcide on it seemed to not what she can ring up. A young lady came over ..looked at it and told me $40..I disagreed with the price and offered to show her where I got the item from. There was another one like it sitting there and she started with an explanation regarding their internal codes. I asked that they consider my request based on the facts... and she denied it without an explanation that made sense to me as a customer. asked to speak with a Manager _ Joseph Torres came over and was emphatic in his no and started giving me a lesson on Home Sense internal coding system. He started telling me about $500 artwork which had no bearing on the fact that they are misleading their customers by not putting a price and placing t with similar item items.. the only difference being the actual character being depicted. The other items were the same size, same raming and all waterprints. Joseph refused to make any concessions whatsoever. Too bad that he has yet to learn how to provide great customer service.

I went to the Riverhead store to buy a desk. The desk I found was in the clearance section for $175 the original SKU was scanned (scammed) for $199. They refuse to acknowledge the clearance price saying that other customers switch tags all the time. Beware of their bait and switch tactics. Bad job. Never shopping there again.
