“This is a real true hometown Post Office. There is a free book exchange in the entry where one can drop books or get them. The old architecture inside is amazing, and the most charming part, besides the postmaster, is the wall where children's heights are measured across time. What a sweet small heartwarming place. Thank you”

“I love the employee's that work there. So friendly and kind!! The place is clean. I moved here a year ago from Oregon. The post office where I came from, the employee's were rude and not friendly at all!!!”

“This Post Office is the best. It's a small little place that is easy to miss when you're driving past, but the staff are very helpful, personable and it seems like my packages are moved through very quickly en-route to their destination, unlike many other post offices I've dealt with over the years.”

“This has always been a great local post office. Despite the shorter hours set by USPS, the staff is always willing to help with anything that comes up and is extremely pleasant to deal with. I have been going to this location for many years and have always had a positive experience.”

“Whatever you need, Tammy is always there to help. She goes the extra mile for everyone! Day after day she does her best & more! Can't say enough about her & the way she keeps the place clean, bright & cheerful along with making sure you have everything you need to ship or receive packages & mail. She is an absolute gift to the community & it's so comforting to know she is here for all of us.”

“Big part of History at the Rhinebeck Post Office ? This is one of the Post Offices that was part of FDR's New Deal Program. Inside is beautiful and historic, contains historical facts from the area. If you are a history buff then you will love coming here, and FYI as a Postal Employee we are hiring!”

“I've been using the Hurley Post Office since 2004. The staff is wonderful. Extremely friendly. They *remember* you. They cater to you, knowing the difficulties of not getting home mail delivery and try to make it as smooth as possible. Truly excellent service run by excellent people. The place is always very well stocked and we've had so few issues over the years, I'll just say "no complaints". :)”

“This is a prime example of how a post office should function. The staff are courteous and helpful and know you, even gave a call to let me know my package arrived. Customer service appears to be dead all elsewhere, but it is well alive here.”

“I see this has one 1 star review from 6 years ago so I figured I should give my opinion. I've been here twice in the last two days and whoever helped me was incredibly friendly. I don't know what else to say. Are you expecting a sandwich? It's a post office. Get a grip.”

“The personnel at this post office are always friendly and helpful and efficient; it's a pleasure to visit here. Just writing to ask if the closed lunch hours could be included on Google, that way we know when not to come! And enjoy your lunch :-)”

“Just watched these folks pass a first amendment audit like real Americans are supposed to. Absolutely refreshing to witness as it is unsettling how many crackpots who breathe our oxygen are the first to escalate aggression when exposed to the free rights of others. Thank you new Paltz USPS for being both professional and educated.”

“I was afraid by the low ratings before I got here, but this place was much better than I thought. I sent 4 packages here today, and the staff was kind and fast. I was able to send my package in within 15 minutes, even though the line was quite long.”

“Not sure why all the negative reviews; I've generally had a pleasant experience here and have found the staff overall to be kind and helpful. If you're not happy with the USPS in general, that's one thing. But the people who work here have made this feel like a small town post office and it's been nice to see many of the same staff members through the ups and downs of the past 6 years or so. Always happy to take care of business at my local post office!”

“Although I received a confirmation email for my passport renewal, when I arrived, they said they didn't see an appointment for me. The rep was nice and assisted me anyway since they weren't busy. The entire process took about 15 minutes. I had a great experience renewing my passport at this location!”

“We just wrapped up a weekend at the Mohonk Mountain House and absolutely loved it! My wife and I went with a group of people. Here are my tips if you plan on going there (and you should!). 1) Talk to registration in advance about your room; they are NOT all the same. Some rooms have fireplaces, others have balconies. Some rooms are small, others are bigger. Some rooms have views of the lake; others have views of the mountains. (2) Bring good shoes for hiking! The trails are incredible We went up to the Skytop Tower and the views are amazing. There are 8-10 small gazebos along the way where you can sit and enjoy the view. Other paths will take you around the lake, through a labyrinth and a garden maze. (3) Book a spa service or pay for access to the spa ($40/day). It's expensive but worth the price in my opinion. You have access to a sauna, steam, outdoor jacuzzi and lounge chairs for reading/relaxing. (4) Meals are either buffet or a la carte (we did buffet). The buffet is good to very good. (5) There are no TVs in the room (which I loved). It's a unique opportunity to relax, clear your mind, and rejuvenate your body. I will definitely go back again.”
