I ordered a custom bag, with a second water bottle pocket, a key fob, some extra inner pockets, and a patch. I've used it most days for over a year, and I love it. It's reliably waterproof and still bright and lovely despite my regularly spilling coffee on it or knocking it over.

I can’t say enough about Vaya bags. I ordered a custom bag from Tia and I couldn’t be happier. It’s rare you find a bag with both style and extreme quality. I love the stitch work and love the versatility of my bag;) I can’t wait to order another one:) totally obsessed!!

Really amazing, quality bags with TERRIBLE/dangerous strap set ups.I've always wanted a Vaya bag, and was beyond stoked to get it and love it. Hopefully I'll be able to after I tear the strap apart and figure out how to make it work. A heavy D ring flopping in the breeze while riding isn't gonna' work (and it doesn't even properly secure). There also isn't a way to secure the strap in place while not riding. So weird.Otherwise a super amazingly made bag!

Really awesome looking bags with TERRIBLE/dangerous strap setups.I REALLY wanted to love my bag, and maybe I'll be able to after I alter the strap somehow. A heavy D ring flopping in the breeze isn't gonna' work, and there isn't a way to secure it when you're off the bike, either. So weird. Otherwise a beautiful, well made bag!

My vaya purse is 10 years old now. it has withstood daily use and abuse. When it does finally wear out I will be buying a new vaya bag. The purse holds an incredible amount of stuff for its size. It even saved my phone from total death when a bottle of water came open in the larger pouch and my phone was in the smaller one. Give them your money and you will not be sad about it.

I have wanted a Vaya bag for a very long time. Having seen their products at the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago several times, I finally decided I was going to order one. I am an avid biker so I decided to try the pannier style bag, but because I am an idiot, I didn't think of the size and what I needed the bag to do for me. I received the pannier and it was really nice, well made, durable, etc. It was also not the size bag I needed and reached out to Tia at Vaya bags to return it. It was no problem, sent it back and ordered the wide messenger bag in Stormy Blue and a strap pad to go along with it. Awesome, I am super pumped. Tia is making it for me and it will be on the way soon enough! It gets shipped and I had it sent to my wife's store because UPS is good about bringing in packages during store hours and holding onto them when we are closed. Except this time... The package was "delivered" and promptly stolen when the temporary driver decided it was a good idea to put the box on the sidewalk of a busy street in Chicago. Sure, that is going to stay put until we open the next day! The package was stolen and a claim process ensued. It was a nightmare and took forever, but throughout the whole process Tia was communicative and kept a positive outlook assuring me that a new bag was on the horizon. UPS finally paid the claim and Tia got right to work on a new bag for me. Fast forward to yesterday when it finally arrived in all its glory! These bags, having seen many over the years, are unbelievably well made. I can not wait to see how my new bag holds up over the years. I highly recommend Vaya to any avid cyclist, commuter, or human who needs to carry things anywhere. They have an amazing selection of bag types, great colors, and with custom options the sky is really the limit with their products! Thank you for everything, Vaya bags is the real deal.

Rad store. Very nice employees. I went in there looking for a water resistant phone ouch for my messenger backpack. The only ones they sell has the strap going vertical which doesn't allow you to mount it vertical on a sling messenger bag or backpack strap. Not sure how an established store didn't think of this so I had to pass. They wanted $20 for recycled innertube wallet which they get the tubes for free from bike shops. Maybe I would have paid $14, $10 yes, but $20? No way! The color of al their bags mismatch and don't go well together. I guess the designer didn't go to art school or have common sense of what colors look good with what but luckily they make custom colors as well.

Love their handmade bags. I got one that is made from recycled tubes. I'm a vegan so it's a great alternative to leather!!!

I just received my first Pannier Hybrid bag, and I couldn't be happier! Tia is da BOMB. She kept me in the loop with e-mail updates and shipped it as soon as she was done making my bag. Unfortunately, UPS f-ed up and somehow lost my package and sent it back to her, but she worked with me to resolve this issue, and I received my package in no time. The bag itself is great! I can tell the construction of the bag was well thought out, down to every detail. Stitching is solid. Fabric is very durable. Waterproof inner lining. Straps are conveniently placed, especially the u-lock holder. IT'S RIGHT THERE! Right where I would want it :-P I've been looking for a specifically sized bag that wasn't the size of my other bags, and this pannier is perfect-o. Time to decide on my NEXT Vaya bag haha

It's a great business! Handmade, upcycled bike bags that look as durable as they feel. Don't have any of their full size bags (yet). The shop is modestly sized, and I was impressed at the variety and the number of bags available in the shop, really impressive for such a small operation. Friendly people, great products, and environmentally friendly. And if you go to the shop, bring your used bike tubes. They will turn them into things!

Totally sweet messenger bags made out of recycled sailboat canvas and bike tires right here in Ridgewood. Both my girlfriend and I have one and love them. Sturdy as heck, and locally-made. What's not to like?
