Europa is a fantastic Balkan food store and one of the special places of Ridgewood. It looks tiny outside but is exploding inside with savory, sweet, and piquant things, plus good fresh produce like the best watermelon and yummy summer peaches. The store carries many food items related to that area in Europe. The proprietors are a hardworking, very pleasant, friendly, and helpful wife-and-husband team. The store can get a little crowded at times since it is small, so it is better to visit during off hours.

BEST WATERMELON is sold there. Period! I’ll be coming from Manhattan just for the watermelon alone. The owners are great too, I’ll miss them.
