“Everyone at sew elegant was so kind! The only reason I’m removing a star is because of the price. I initially was quoted $1100 for taking in the waist ($500) and the hem ($600) for one dress, and another $600 for hemming a second dress. I decided I did not want to get any hemming done on both dresses, and just wanted my waist taken in for one dress. Suddenly, the price jumped from $500 to $750 since I was just getting the waist taken in. I asked for a cash discount and ended up paying $700 in cash to get just the waist taken in (not including the hem) for one dress - which was much pricier than expected. I’m thinking that it’s just NYC pricing and maybe I should have done more research beforehand. Just something to note for brides planning on visiting this tailor. Everyone is so kind and professional though. Also love how the dress turned out! Cannot wait for my big day :)”

“The team at Bianca (Allen, Helen and Lisa) were all so helpful during the engagement ring process. They were so patient with us. They worked with our budget and helped educate us on diamond grading and ring designs so we could customize our ring. After we selected the design, they coordinated execution with my boyfriend so the proposal was a surprise 5 months later. The ring is beautiful! It looks so much better than I imagined and the craftsmanship is immaculate. They even resized it at no additional charge after the proposal due to weather impacting my finger size. The process was very smooth, thanks to their customer service!”
“This was my first and ONLY bridal store!!!! Nina was incredible. It was my first time dress shopping, and I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted; i had a dress and designer in mind, but i wanted to explore my options first. Nina was super helpful, and let me try on EVERYTHING from a ball gown to an A-Line to a mermaid!!! A lot of bridal stores don’t let you look at the racks or even touch the dresses, but Nina let my mom, sister and I look and touch all the dresses in the store and pull the ones we wanted to try on. At the end of the appointment, I said YES TO THE DRESS!!! I highly recommend this boutique to any bride who is looking for a non-pushy, helpful, kind and fun atmosphere in her search for the dress!!!”

“One of the best decisions I made for my wedding was working with Sydney as our day of coordinator. 1-2 months before the wedding, Sydney sent us a spreadsheet to help plan the smallest logistical details in the wedding, and where she saw gaps, she explained what we needed and offered her advice. Sydney always made herself available to hop on a call and was very responsive throughout our entire process. She was fantastic in keeping track of every email for months and created the perfect timeline for our wedding.
On the day of our wedding, Sydney was a true force of nature -- my mom described her as a warrior. She was ready with tide wipes when my dress got smudges during the first look. Sydney set up the ceremony and reception impeccably (and, when there was a problem, she informed me, offered me her thoughts and just dealt with it). She allowed me to just sit back and enjoy my own wedding. She exceeded all our expectations in every way.
We highly recommend her to anyone who's looking for a day-of-coordinator or planner.”

She even put me in a dress I'd normally never grab for that I ended up loving! I felt listened to and Alyssa was very knowledgeable when explaining options and accessories. Ultimately, I ended up leaving without saying yes, because I wanted to sleep on it & keep an open mind for other appointments - but nothing compared to the quality of Sarah's dresses so I now own a Sarah Seven dress! “I bought my wedding dress at Veka Bridal for a November 2024 wedding and had a wonderful experience from start to finish! When looking at dresses, the experience at Veka was such a lovely change from most other bridal shops. The 1-on-1 attention in the small, cozy shop felt personal and calming, while most other larger stores felt impersonal and overwhelming. Veka has beautiful and unique dresses not available at any other NYC shops, including my dream dress (they were the only shop in the USA that had a sample!) After selecting, Jana and team were in direct communication via email, keeping me updated on the shipping progress. I ended up needing ~4 fitting appointments with their in-house seamstress. Her attention to detail and understanding of my requests gave me confidence throughout and I could not have been more comfortable and confident in the final product on my wedding day.
