“Great local bookstore, walked by it one day and saw a sign "$1 books" with several full carts of books, many in very good/near-perfect condition. The employees are very friendly, had good recommendations and to say they are extremely passionate about literature doesn't fully do it justice.”
“Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a fantastic collection of new and old comics. They also have a really great collection of collectibles in stock. They've also got a large collection of graded comics.”
“Thankful for independent bookshops! Brilliantly managed by two fabulous women. Online book club. Order books online from them instead of A——n! Love this place. Worth the trip!”
“Great Store! I've been here a couple of times already since I've been in Brooklyn. The owner was able to find me even a more rear book that I wouldn't have found in a regular store. I strongly advise anyone in Brooklyn to check it out.”

Good air conditioning too! That made browsing for a long time comfortable and peaceful.”
“Businesses like this are what make Greenpoint so special. Archestratus is a rare gem that brings community together and creates an authentic place to shop, eat and hang in the neighborhood. I always pop in when I need a special gift for a friend or some fresh groceries for home. Paige is so sweet and creative and puts a lot of love into the space.”
“Great variety of books across genres and geography. Very good selection for Arab Heritage Month, although I wish it was downstairs, closer to the main foot traffic.”

36-19 30th St, Queens“Astoria Bookshop is tucked away off the main drag and that only makes it more perfect. The shop is loaded with current best sellers, kids books & cute notebooks, bookmarks and cards. They even had some signed copies of books that were great to see. The ladies were so friendly and sweet. I had my dog with me and they were so excited to see her and offered her treats and pets. Checked out the shops Instagram where they have all their events & happenings. I also picked up my next read and I'll definitely go back there for more books and tosupport this great shop!”
“The service and care at the Judaica Place is of exceptional quality and trustworthiness! The exceptional care and follow-up is virtually

14722 Northern Blvd, Queens“It's great to be able to purchase a book on the Bandibooks website and have it delivered to a New York bookstore. It's not a huge amount, but I've been buying books often for over 10 years and I love it! The owner is so kind. You can purchase most new books directly online or at bookstores. It is cheaper to buy online and pick it up. I'm so happy to be able to use such a good service in New York, where there are few ways to get Korean books.I have been buying Korean books for both adults and kids for over 10 years. I love how I can order books online, and have them shipped to this store directly. The owner is super friendly as well. I highly recommend this store and website to everyone”
“I’m not really a book girlie. I’ve had a hard time getting into reading and I do “collect” books that sorta sit on a single shelf. But being here literally pulled me in similar to a kid in a candy store. I was here for a friend and kept getting distracted by all the colorful names and covers. Will definitely be back.”
“It is a good place to go to check ones clothing for Shatnez as well as many different sefarim and siddurim. It is a good place to get your Jewish books for yeshiva.”
“This is has been our families favorite book store and children's gift shop for the last 11 years.Last night Halloween in Harlem was just perfect.Marcus Meets Malcom event was truly a Memorable Moment for us”

143 7th Ave, Brooklyn“As the name suggests this is a community bookstore! Great selection of books old and new, small but mighty even has a good kids/YA section. I’ve loved getting books here because of the vibe but most importantly the people working behind the counter! Each time I’ve asked a question they’ve had answers and recommendations for me. Hope you remain a neighborhood staple!”
“So nice and polite I was nervous to ask for a certain manga thinking they wouldn’t have it but I asked and she took me right to it and showed me the series. when I went up to pay he said the name of the manga and explained a bit about it. They know there stuff definitely go there”
