The clerk was so rude and had absolutely no patience. I will never go there again. This was one of many visits when the clerk ( starts with A) exhibited awful customer service.

I have mailed 3 packages to Turkey from the Rhinebeck post office and all 3 were returned to me by Turkish customs. All three packages averaged $70 per package. My relations in Turkey told me to use DHL or FedEx. The USPS felt no obligation to reimburse my funds or advise me to use a different shipping service. If more detail was needed by customs they didn’t recommend or mention it to me. I suggest using a different service when shipping overseas.

Big part of History at the Rhinebeck Post Office ? This is one of the Post Offices that was part of FDR's New Deal Program. Inside is beautiful and historic, contains historical facts from the area. If you are a history buff then you will love coming here, and FYI as a Postal Employee we are hiring!

This may be in the run for coolest post offices I've been in. It's like walking into 1800. Seems like they preserved everything. Service I will say, was updated. Fast and efficient. I just mailed a letter and a post card, but we had a chat about the place on the walk to lunch. You should at least pop in if you're in the area, it's a hoot.

1/24/23 Poor Management to say the least. The Supervisor of Rhinebeck, NY US Post Office (Pam) also oversees the Rhinecliff, NY US Post Office. The Supervisor thinks it is aok to shut down the US Post Office in Rhinecliff, NY for hours at a time and even days at a time..... for non-valid, nonsensical reasons..

Always highly professional and caring staff from the counter to the mail box. Rhinebeck is blessed to have this public service that makes a community better.

The worst! We schedule pick ups for packages with usps and they do not show up and they leave our packages on the end of a long driveway because they refused to drive to our home! What’s the point of mail delivery if we have to go retrieve it?! Or scheduling a pick up when they don’t bother to show up!!!

Incredible service at the Rhinebeck, New York, post office yesterday--where a member of the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to help us. So so grateful!!!

Back parking lot is incorrectly marked, YOU WILL GET TOWED. The entrance we came in said it was fine for parking for the antique store and other shops, but never saw any sign stating that was a post office from the back. They had one section that was CLEARY and very understood not to park in we avoided that area as did every other car. We parked in a line of cars, but still got towed (on our honeymoon). Dont park in this lot!! Please ask your local post office to put up proper signage.

I love this small town post office where you can engage the staff in conversation and enjoy Mr Dows (a past resident of the town) wonderful murals which are a source of pride for the town.

My favorite post office. For years this place has maintained a historic ambiance and the staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate.

This is one of the coolest post offices. We were visiting family in NY and stopped in to mail some cards. The post office itself is a piece of history, the front doors seem to be very old and colonial. Inside is wood everywhere. The Clerk at the window was very friendly and helpful. There is parking in the back that is shared with some other businesses. I can definitely say this is the most historical post office I have ever been to !

Mailing things through USPS has never been a seamless experience, so I have to give this small town post office credit for doing the best it can. Still, the lines can be somewhat long, leading to long waits for purchases and simple mailing tasks.

I love going here. It's a fantastic building and the staff is always friendly and helpful. And when not busy, we chat a little. Good place.
