Sales would get 4 stars. The service department is obnoxious and inept. I would have no problem buying again from Ruge Ford. However, I would not want to subject my wife and I to your horrible service department. I found Romeo Ford to be much better.

I bought a tire from another place, they told me my brakes were 90% gone and that I needed them replaced right away. I took my car to this Ford dealership and was told I still had awhile until I needed them replaced. I love my Ford SUV and always go to the dealership for service. They are friendly and always helpful.

I purchased my Mach-e from Juan at Ruge.s Ford and he was amazing and a pleasure to deal with. He answered my emails and kept me up to date on my cars delivery. Jorge their EV specialist was great showing us all the features of our car he truly is an expert. Would definitely work again with Ruge's Ford again.

I brought my 2019 Ford Mustang GT in this week for a service. I purchased it from Ruge's at the end of September and was very, very pleased with the sales department and the whole purchase experience. I have been at a lot of dealers in the past year, both looking for a car myself and helping my parents with their purchase. This was the most pleasant experience I had, they treated me well and didn't put the intense sales pressure on that I have experienced at most dealers, which makes me leave. Back to the service. The car's driving aides were intermittently not available as displayed on the screen. Scheduling an appointment was easy and the service rep was cordial. The day of the service they were fairly busy but still got me in reasonably quick while I waited. They scanned the car, reflashed the computer and off I went. I knocked one star because the waiting room needs a clean and update, nothing fancy though, I get it's a small town dealer, which I like.

Have a warranty on our car and put it in the shop Monday and was told it should be at most 2 days. Then it wouldn’t be ready until Friday because of parts that needed to be ordered. NOW it’s Monday because they ordered the wrong parts and we’ve had to pay out of pocket for a rental and they’re only going to reimburse us for half. Not to mention even with the warranty we paid for we still have to pay out of pocket another 2-300$ for the deductible. Insane.

I called yesterday to make an appointment to test and purchase a used car (NYS COVID-19 guidelines for dealerships). I took the day off from work, paid my mechanic to accompany me on the trip, and drove almost 6 hours to the dealership. I expressed that I was a very motivated buyer and confirmed that we were still on for the appointment 2 hours prior. My mechanic reviewed the vehicle listing during our drive and found that the price had been raised $650 overnight. Despite this being unusual, we decided to view the vehicle anyway since we had documentation of the original price. The salesman called 25 minutes before my appointment. They claimed they had sold the vehicle to someone that "walked off the street". Yet, it's still listed on their website and all other online marketplaces. I told them I was upset that I had put so much time and money into the trip, they knew I was a motivated buyer and that I was traveling from a far distance. Their response was to laugh at me and say "that's how car sales business works". No, an ethical business would have prioritized the customer and informed me prior to their sale, offering me the ability to put a deposit down before I could get to the dealership. I left at 5am and will be back home at 6:30pm. AVOID this deceitful business at all costs.

Routine oil change was accompanied by the diagnosis that all my brake pads and rotors were worn down to the bone. I was shocked at the blatant dishonesty. I didnt say anything. I knew the back ones were new, purchased from Nissan not many miles ago. Ruge's wanted to sell me "new ones" at $398 per set. Ruges also told me my all-weather tires had to be replaced by a new set of all-weather tires. I have been servicing my cars at Ruges for decades, but I occasionally take it elsewhere. I said I needed to look at my schedule. Instead, i went down the road to Mavis tire shop. The manager there walked me into the garage and showed me that ONE FRONT front brake pad and rotor was worn. The other front one less so. Mechanic said, "The back ones are new, of course." Manager had me touch the rotor. "See? That's what a new one looks and feels like." $198 per set, half the price, and honest about my not needing back brakes. And he said my all-weather tires were fine, but he recommended a set of snow tires. "We'd love to sell you new tires, but you don't need them. These still have a lot of life in them." I bought top of the line snow tires (researched brands while waiting) for less than the all-weather tires Ruge's had tried to sell me. (I had not told the tire shop, or Ruges, that I'd indeed recently bought new tires in another state a few months ago). I have bills from all these shops to prove the above information. I confronted the repair manager at Ruge's about this. He instantly began railing at me, he stated that the other shop obviously didn't have qualified mechanics, just young and inexperienced cheap workers. (The mechanic at Mavis has been working there for over thirty years). He told me the other shop sold me "knock-off" brakes and tires. He demanded I bring in the car again and he would "show" me that he was right and the other shop wrong. My complaints over his head to the owner were later answered with the information that this abrasive gentleman had been moved to a different location. The fact that the shop tried to cheat me, didnt seem a particular concern. I was offered a free oil change. The new manager is pleasant but it doesnt alter the fact that Ruge's wanted to sell me a set of tires and brakes I absolutely did not need. That is far more concerning to me then the rudeness of their manager and should be to all customers there.

(I was about to write this on Thursday when I contacted the business last but forgot to publish it. Sorry for the delay. By "today", I mean "the other day" - in relation to the real day it's getting fully-published. Sorry for the delay.) A few weeks ago after buying a 2012 Ford Fusion from a third-party dealer, I noticed when I added it to my MyFord account it had an open recall. And when I went into the business a day or so later to find schedule an appointment, I couldn't - they told me to come back in later that day because "their site was down" - now, I was there in the service area. However, today, I got rather angry and decided instead of wasting gas I'd call them, after telling them what my concern was (a little more than what I wasn't able to tell them last time), again, they told me "check back with us in 30 minutes" and that (again) - "our site is down". Quit frogging around with me. It's no wonder you don't sell many cars and rarely have a single car to be taken in for service. Your dealership (Rhinebeck) looks a bit outdated and run down, that it's hard to see it as something that relates to any other Ford location. Simple service got turned into something worse, which is something you should have been able to handle but just couldn't! Time for pen and paper. So many Ford dealerships are able to access their schedules when they are there, so when I then called the next nearest Ford dealership across the river and found one for tomorrow I am thankful - so thank you, but no thank you - I won't be coming back.

You can get a good price on a vehicle but unfortunately the sales manager Corey will not honor any deals made with the sales representative. As to be expected he is the typical weasel with now integrity

The Service Dept is awful to deal with. I had my car in there three times to fix a wiper that was dragging across the windshield. I don't have endless spare time to get the car in so the fact that I have to deal with the same issue numerous times is frustrating. The last time I brought it in - end of August, I made the appointment to have a recall completed (2nd recall in 4 months, by the way). When I got there to pick it up, I was notified that they didn't have the parts to do the recall. The day after pick up, I realized that the wiper wasn't fixed either. I called immediately, spoke with Tammy, who I asked to document everything on my account because I wasn't paying for another repair and the car wasn't coming back in until the parts were in for the recall. She was supposed to notify me when they were in. I followed up in mid-October to find out that no one remembers any of my issues and nothing was documented on my account, "because there is no way for them to do that". Although that certainly wasn't our discussion originally. After a week and a half of Tammy promising to call me back and that NEVER happening I was completely losing my cool. When she told me that the recall parts had already been in and are out of stock again and then she basically called me a liar because she claims the recall wasn't announced until September (although I have the August dated letter in my possesion) I demanded to speak with the service manager, Nick. After being on hold for an extended time, she informed me that he wasn't in yet. I asked her to have him call me back. When I didn't hear from him, I thought maybe he hadn't received my message; however, after two additional messages left directly for him, I know he is just incompetent. To date, I still have never spoken to the man. Save yourself aggravation, go to another dealer.

I had my oil changed a few weeks ago..... I got in my car with flip flops and ended up with oil all over my feet. There was an oil spot on my mat and on the carpet next to the mat. After calling them, all they suggested was that I bring the car back down so they can clean it. I live 45 minutes. Terrible service!

We were Honda CRV owners for thirteen years before a tree took it out a few weeks ago. We loved our old car, but always found it to be a noisy ride. We looked around and made a stop here at Rhinebeck Ford, just to see how an american car would compare. So pleasantly surprised! Smooth, quiet ride and great safety features. Our salesman, Frank Futak, was awesome. Not pushy, easy-going, and down-to-earth. We absolutely love our new Ford Escape! We had a great experience here! Thank you Rhinebeck Ford!!
