Great place for older kids. We were there with young grandkids. Tons of great rides but the kids were too small. Tons of great food though.

We’ve been coming to this fair for many many years now and it’s never a disappointment. Crowded but never disappointment. I love the home country feeling about it.

Located in beautiful Rhinebeck NY, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds plays host to many events throughout the season including the Dutchess County Fair and the largest Sheep & Wool Festival in the country. For six days in August, the Dutchess County Fair, known as the second largest agricultural fair in NYS, takes place. The fairgrounds come alive featuring hundreds of farm animals, fantastic food, shopping, and the exciting sights and sounds of the carnival midway presented by Powers Great American Midways. Loads of fun for everyone.
