I have been a customer of Rhinebeck’s Williams Hardware for 17 years. I told my mom to get a quote from the kitchen & bath department for a cabinet. The man there to help is quite frankly terrible. He actually made comments about everything my mom liked (Granite isn’t in style he said. No one orders glazed doors anymore! etc.). He told my mom that her taste was like his mother’s; old fashioned. This coming from a guy clearly in his 70’s. He was lazy about showing options, told us they don’t really do tile etc. I really miss the lady who used to run this department.

Joe Decker at Williams Lumber ordered the wrong doors for a $45,000 Marvin window and door job. For 16 months he has been saying he is going to be sending the correct replacements and has not done it. Every phone call and email is another excuse -- family illness, lack of a driver, someone being out of the office. I have recently learned that one of the door panels has literally been sitting at the Rhinebeck location for months and was not delivered, and after multiple promises that it will be delivered it still has not been. His latest illiterate email is so insane and reckless in his lack of personal responsibility that I can't believe a business would employ such a person. I want a refund for the door that does not have the correct panel on it. I am done trying to get Williams to deliver the door that I ordered.

Previous entry today got wiped out. This will be brief: went to Rhinebeck-Williams to have a copy of a key made. Once made, i told the keymaker it did not look right-- wrong head shape, end looked different. Of course it did NOT work. This is incompetent, unacceptable-- can't even make a key copy!
8 sept 2022: They have joined the modern wold-- Thery finally have a new electronic keymaker! It makes perfect copies.

Waited in the paint department for 20 minutes waiting for someone to help me. Many employees walked in and out but no one offered to help. I finally left the paint department and asked for help I was told someone would be right with me. After waiting some more I eventually walked out of the store with out any paint.

One of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. Friendly and knowledgable sales staff. I purchased some R11 insulation at the lumber desk along with a few other items. Drove around back to one of the bays, and they loaded the insulation into my car. Seamless and stress free. Thank you for understanding that customer service matters. Also great lighting made me feel less anxious. I hate the big box stores and now I can avoid them. Well worth driving out of your way for this kind of care.

Friendly helpful staff. Have never had a problem finding what I need. Though a little more expensive than most other places, the service does make up for it as well as does the knowledge and attention that you get from people in the store.

Williams Lumber Rhinebeck is one of the most friendliest and customer supporting hardware stores I visited. Employees are always willing to help out and are willing to go the extra distance to give you information and provide you with what you need. Although the prices are a little bit more expensive than the big box stores that are in Poughkeepsie and in kingston, the convenience and the customer service cannot be beat. Highly recommend. I keep returning.

It has some good things but I am never going to buy a appliance again. We bought a microwave and it has been the absolute worst it turns off after 10 minutes and continues to do it . If I could afford a new one I would0 get one. Horrible brand perfect aire yuck.
