“Our son began at Primrose just over a year ago in the infant classroom. We have been nothing short of impressed from Day 1. Every morning when you arrive the entire team is welcoming and eager to greet on a first name basis for the whole family. The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive. They listen to developmental goals and work with students to help achieve those goals.Our child has grown with Primrose from infant to toddler and is about to make his way into early preschool. We have been very happy how the daily classroom structures and curriculum have grown with him to continually promote development.Primrose is also great at keeping parents involved and in the know. School announcements are made promptly and clearly communicated. Parents are invited into classrooms to celebrate events throughout the year and are often invited to spend time reading to the classrooms on Friday mornings. In addition, parents are given frequent daily updates through the school app so you can see exactly what your little one is up to and learning about throughout the day. This makes it easy to continue the lessons after school at home.We look forward to continuing to see our son develop at Primrose.”

The smile on their faces every morning and the warm welcome when they greet your child is priceless. Facility is always clean and neat. They are always on top of it when it comes to filling you in on your Childs' daily activities and I love getting live updates on their app throughout the day and the pictures/videos. I can go on and on as to why I love All About Me but in short I will say that I highly recommend this daycare center.”

“My son has been attending Bright Horizons at East 46th street since March of 2023. We were referred to BH by a friend after my son had extreme difficulty settling into a 2’s program at another school. The friendly and welcoming staff at Bright Horizons were confident they could transition our son into their program and have gone above and beyond in doing so. From our first day there, the center director and assistant director have been nothing but positive and communicative regarding our son and his progress. Over the past 4 months we have watched him grow in ways we never thought possible, even dropping him off without tears as he runs toward whatever wonderful activity his teachers have set up for the day. From water play, to painting and dancing, reading, walks, and singing, our son is constantly stimulated and we love receiving updates via their app throughout the day. The teachers at BH are so loving, patient and hands on and meet each child where they are developmentally and emotionally. We are so thankful to everyone at BH for being a part of our sons life and educational journey.”

The original freely handled and simplified Byzantine Revival design by Bertram Goodhue was called "a jewel in a monumental setting" by Christine Smith in 1988. Goodhue modified his design in response to the requirement that the old church portal, beloved by the parishioners, be preserved, with its bronze doors, from the Madison Avenue building and re-erected on the new site.The foundation stone of Goodhue's original design, a vast, unified barrel-vaulted space, without side aisles or chapels and with severely reduced transepts, was laid May 1, 1917 and the construction was sufficiently far along for the church to be consecrated in 1918; its design was altered during construction, after Goodhue's sudden, unexpected death in 1924, by his office associates, in partnership as Mayers, Murray and Philips; they were engaged in erecting the community house, continuing with the same materials, subtly variegated salmon and cream-colored bricks and creamy Indiana limestone; they designed the terrace that still provides the equivalent of a small square, surrounded by the cliff-like facades of Midtown commercial structures; in summer, supplied with umbrellas and tables, it becomes the outside dining area for the restaurant, Inside Park. They also inserted the "much discussed" dome, tile-patterned on the exterior and with a polychrome Hispano-Moresque interior dome, which substituted for the spire that had been planned but never built. Completed in 1930, the church contains stained-glass windows and mosaics by Hildreth Meiere, and a marble baptismal font by the Danish follower of Canova, Bertel Thorvaldsen. St. Bartholomew's was completed at a cost of $5.4 million.The church is known for a wide range of programs. It draws parishioners from all areas of New York City and surroundings. It is the final resting place for actresses Lillian Gish (1893–1993), Dorothy Gish (1898–1968), and their mother Mary Gish (1876–1948).Saint Bartholomew's Church and Community House was designated a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1967, a move opposed at the time by the rector and vestry. Beginning in 1981, St. Bartholomew's found itself the subject of a much-publicized case concerning air rights in the highly-competitive New York real estate market clashing with historical preservation. Some of the members of the parish wanted to replace the community house and open terrace with a high-rise commercial structure that would re-capitalize the parish's depleted funds. Following a series of public hearings, the Landmarks Preservation Commission turned down the plans for a high-rise office building. The church unsuccessfully argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan that the Landmark designation violated their constitutional rights. That decision was appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, which eventually resolved the matter in favor of the Landmarks Commission in 1991 by declining to hear the appeal.”

“Linda and her team worked worked very hard to accommodate my 1 year old son into their infant program.The school has been a blessing to my family. The Day care has very flexible hours and they allow drop off as early as 7AM and pickup as late as 6PM which is wonderful for working parents, such as myself.The Daycare provides Breakfast, lunch and snacks. The meals are Kosher (we prefer Halal & Kosher food) and are prepared fresh daily.The teachers are amazing! The wonderful teachers really make this place what it is, and my son looks forward to going there every day.Communication is terrific and we are notified of everything. I receive pictures daily of my son participating in various activities. My husband and I have noticed a huge change in his development and the school has helped him achieve all of the important milestones.I cannot recommend this school enough!I am very grateful to Linda and her staff for taking care of my son and for providing him with so much love and care, while he is away from home.”

“I cannot speak highly enough about Palisades Preschool (“PPS”)! My 6 year old son graduated from PPS last year and it’s become even more evident now, after having him in public school this year, how incredibly exceptional PPS is!Palisades Preschool is a warm and nurturing environment; the teachers are creative and patient, and the curriculum is highly effective (we enrolled our son in Kumon at the beginning of kindergarten and he tested at a first grade level on day 1)!Staff turnover is non-existent, which means the staff loves PPS and each other as much as they love the students. This brought so much comfort to me, knowing I could rely on their long standing reputation as well as consistency from day to day.PPS has always been so accommodating - whenever I have a question or need something, they are responsive and go above and beyond to be helpful. We never feel like we’re just a number - quite the opposite actually…we feel like we’re part of the PPS family!I forgot to mention, that my son who is thriving socially, academically and emotionally, was not speaking when he started at PPS and even qualified for early intervention. He never ended up receiving early intervention therapy from the state due to COVID lockdown, but he went on to speak by the time he was 2.5 years old and thrive in all aspects of school - thanks to his incredible teachers in the toddler room (and all throughout his time there).I wholeheartedly believe that the solid foundation my son built at PPS set him up for a bright academic future! Naturally, we cannot wait for our youngest to start school next month in the toddler room!Look no further than Palisades Preschool - truly, nothing can compare! ❤️”

“Our daughter first started here in 2022 and recently graduated in 2024.  As a first time mom I was very nervous to send my daughter to preschool for the first time.  I had visited other schools in the surrounding area but chose Les Enfants after meeting with Nancy.  Nancy is incredible at keeping the school organized, she always communicated with us and is quick to respond to an email or phone call.   Our daughter enjoyed each of her teachers over the years and loved the staff.  We appreciate how long the staff has each been with the school.  Their tenure is an example of the great environment.  Happy teachers = Happy kids!  :)

The Teachers and staff go out of their way to support the students and provide a wonderful experience.  The quality of the lessons and activities was very impressive.  We would share with our families and friends and get the response “we want to go to her school too!!” The way the teachers incorporated play and learning was fun, educational and exciting.  Our family was invited in throughout the years for student led shows and to see the different projects the kids had worked on.  I enjoyed the Tadpoles App that provided daily photos, videos and updates on what the class was learning.  This also helped prompt my daughter’s memory and she would become excited to explain what she did that day.   The classes celebrated kindness and respectfulness towards others and had wonderful values. The teachers and staff are top tier and amazing people we now consider family.  We see old student come back to visit during summer camp because they miss their old teachers and school.  My daughter never cried to go to school but I certainly cried when she graduated because the bar has been set VERY high.  I couldn’t recommend Les Enfants enough.  This is such a special place and our family is so grateful.”
