I am a long time customer that spends over $100 a week on my golden retrievers. Unfortunately the so called animal manager as she called herself in the fish department needs a lot more training she was extremely rude. I asked to purchase 3 fish that were the size of my nail and she refused because I had a beta fish I’ve had fish for years and never had an issue. If she was so concerned about the fish she should worry about all the beta fish that are dead in the plastic containers. I am a manager of mercedes Benz and she did not handle herself as such, senior managers should be overseeing stations not children.I will be finding another petco to go to very disappointed!

I was surprised to see many people at Petco today! I did read a review that Weekends are when Petco is usually active so it’s nice that the employees were quick to notice I needed help. Miles helped me get the basics for a starter tank for a betta fish (and helped me convince my mom what is needed to take care of a fish ?). I was also surprised how accessible and affordable buying aquatic freshwater plants were. I’m not ready for them yet but can’t wait to come again!

This is the best Petco in my opinion. It's not the largest store, but the employees are always knowledgeable, and helpful. This is especially the case of Bree and Jasmine who went above and beyond to help us with picking a pet for our son(s). They are always friendly, helpful, and Bree even asks for pics and updates every time to see how our pet is growing. Customer service goes a long way! Thanks again!!

I went to Petco to buy a female dwarf hamster. The person helping me said that the store I was in never gets females bc the manager will not order them. He told me to go to the Rego Park store bc he "knows they always have females." Luckily, I called before we got there bc they told me that they never have females and that they only have them at certain Petco's. He couldn't me which ones, but he told me I must call every Petco to find a female. Why wouldn't they have access to that information? Basic customer service. I get why PETCO wouldn't want a male and female in the same cage, but is it so difficult to have them in separate cages? Such an annoying experience.
