“My 89 yr old mother got stuck in the elevator at the Michaels on Metropolitan Ave on Friday afternoon . When she got out the on duty manager made sure that she was ok and provided a place to sit and water. He also rode down with her when we had finished shopping as she was uneasy going alone . (I am claustrophobic, and that day's incident really convinced me that I did not want to be in that elevator lol.) the store is nice, but I'm impressed me most was the personal care we received that day.”

3025B 3rd Ave, Bronx“This was the magnum opus of collectible stores. Have never been in a place like this, a safe haven in New York. Come here if you want to enjoy the good things in life.”

11AM - 12AM
36-12 Main St, Queens“Went here a few months ago and was blown away by the spaciousness! Definitely more expensive than the other arcades and be prepared to spend more money. However, the merch and plushies are official and licensed, as far as I know this is the only arcade in flushing that does not have bootlegs so that may explain the higher price tag. I will say, I really liked the Lunar New Year promo they had and they should definitely have similar events more often to offset the difficulty and high cost-but at the same time, it's still skill and luck based!Machines are definitely harder, but ask employees for help! The last time we went, we were trying to win a derpy looking dinosaur, and it was very difficult (claw was too weak and plushie was very big and chubby) and the worker helped us reposition. The app did glitch and take away 2 tries for us that we weren't able to play, but the same worker helped us (I never got her name but she had glasses!). She was very encouraging and sweet and helped us win it!”
“Really great game store in Cobble Hill, in a city that doesn't have enough of them. Have a great experience every time I come to play Magic. Employees are amazing and clearly care about the games and the customers; every time I'm there I get the impression of a vibrant and welcoming community. Really rad that they're unionizing too – beyond proud to stand with the workers who foster such a wonderful gaming community!”

761 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn“Artist & Craftsman store for years— I’ve been so happy to find that the Williamsburg location offers the same level of warmth and kind customer service! Taylor and Abdiel helped me find some leather paints this week, Bryn and another associate (whose name is escaping me, sorry) helped me with spray paint/acrylics recently as well. Everyone was so patient and they never make me feel annoying for asking advice about the products. I will keep coming back, because the experience reminds me of home :) also the music always slaps. 10/10”
11AM - 6:30PM
7102 13th Avenue, Brooklyn“I've been going to The Card Cave since I discovered their store in June, and I couldn't be happier. I've been able to buy/sell my cards to them. They have many different sports and brands within card collecting. The staff is very knowledgeable regarding sports/trading cards. They also do submissions to PSA, and will help you figure out which cards you should submit. I'm excited to finally find a local shop to go to. Store is clean and comfortable. First time I went there, I was there for 3 hours hanging out and buying cards. I would recommend you visit this store.”

16 E 17th St, New York“WowBeen ages since I was last here and the place is as I remembered- super friendly and helpful staff. The “technician” restrung my beads (that kept breaking) on the spot for less than $10! And what an improvement given the various choices she offered . And with a guarantee to come back if it fails/falls off.Def will be back with other beads in my vast collection. Go here first and only!!”
“Nice place but beware it's not a shop where you can drop in to play board games (in contrast to a different Google review I've seen), they only allow you to sit down and play games during specific events they host.”
9AM - 9PM
2289 Broadway, New York“Love book stores which are virtually a relic of the past. A nice place to spend some time browsing titles. I was looking for books for our grandchildren. I noticed it was a draw for some neighborhood seniors as a place to cool off on a hot summer day while reading up on some titles.”

“Lovee Artist and Craftsman! This location reminds me of the location that was once in my old neighborhood (R.I.P Bridgeport location) it has the same vibe. Pleaseee stock more stationery/stickers similar to the brand you already have (Suatelier)! Staff is nice and you can find literally everything for reasonable prices here :)”
“Tannen's shop is magical. Anyone who has made it to the 6th floor at number 45 and to door 608 will end up in a paradise for magicians. Hundreds of tricks are waiting behind the large counter to be demonstrated and purchased. There is also a whole library of magical literature on the shelves.”
“After finding this store online several years ago, and talking cross-country to Jimmy several times - it was such a joy to come and spend an hour or more looking at and trying multiple pens my husband and I were considering. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - it felt like an hour spent with friends! We bought several items for ourselves and at least one gift!”
“My favorite spot in all of NYC for games amd gaming needs! If you're in Williamsburg, Twenty Sided Store is a must stop destination! The owners and employees are amazing! Tell em Juris sent you when you visit!”
“If you are into crafts, crochet or knitting this is your spot. The owner, Michelle, is so friendly and knowledgeable. The shop has better supplies and selection than a Michael's and the prices are very reasonable. Support independent family business!”
“Coolest guy I ever met! Seriously Vieira gave my 10 yo son free coins to encourage him, and willing to share his knowledge with a little boy. How cool is that! Now my son is more serious in the hobby because of him, and I'd love to go back there and recommend this place to anyone into coin collection!”

This place is the real deal warm to your heart, use your brain muscles. For old or young let's not forget how video games started old school!!! Loved this place!!!”
“It’s a dime in a dozen to find a unique shop like this in New York. It truly is wonderful that there are beautiful shops like this one dedicated to crafts like knitting and sewing. I was in complete awe when I entered this shop. Everything was so beautiful! I loved all the rainbow of colors of the fabrics and yarn. I loved there was wall to wall of yarn in so many vibrant colors. I spent a lot of time looking at the fabrics and their beautiful colors and patterns. I was imagining all the projects I can for my home using all those fabrics. I loved that the shop had cute items for home decor. The shop even had all the tools needed for sewing and knitting. From scissors to thread to measuring tape. I also spent a lot of time looking at the sewing books and project books the shop carries. The shop offers all kinds of sewing and knitting classes. The best thing about this shop is that everything is excellent quality. Everyone should visit this shop.”

465 River Rd, Edgewater“It has oil and acrylic paints, a variety of brushes and various plastic arts, including frames ready for your paintings, as well as various materials that can be sublimated and equipment to personalize clothing and accessories. 11:30AM - 7:30PM
12-40 Clintonville St unit B, Queens“I've been on a retro gaming hunt recently. Sadly, there just are not the same amount of stores around that there were 20, 10, or even 5 years go. Went to PopnGames recently and this place is great. Prices were definitely fair, selection was pretty good and the owner was really nice. I went mainly to establish that this is a place I would want to come to for the future but also because I had a Super Nintendo arriving and I wanted at least one game to test it out. I left with two very fairly priced games. I will definately be back.”
“They closed the Michael’s in Fresh Meadows ?. This location was pretty nice and has a great selection of items. The selection of picture frames was so nice!
I’m going to make another trip out there soon.❤️”
