“4.5 star overall rating is too low. Capt. Thomson's Resort exceeded my wife and my expectations across the board. The great photos in many of the other reviews are spot on. Our visit began with very friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Our room appeared very clean and well maintained. Accommodations looked new with no wear. Perfect location right next to Uncle Sam Boat Tours and just a few minute walk from several restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!Rooms: Very comfortable with great decor. Had an upstairs balcony view, which was worth the slightly higher room cost.”
“My husband and I had the most relaxing three days at Ledges! Our cottage was perfect. Beautiful views, the grounds were gorgeous with flowers everywhere! The built in pool was very clean and perfect after a day sight seeing and shopping. We have rented many cottages over the years in different locations, this one was by far the best!”
“We had the best meal at the Pointe and cannot wait to go back! While the restaurant is pretty unassuming, do not be fooled, it does not disappoint. The service was excellent with Dan going above and beyond by educating us on the area, offering to take a family photo overlooking the water (self portrait by Dan too), and even golf carting us to our car after the meal. The food could not have been better. We had the best onion rings and the juiciest, flavor-filled grilled chicken. We even enjoyed more than a dozen clean, juicy steamed clams. The Pointe is not to be overlooked!”

“Did not stay in the hotel, we live locally.Food & drinks: Great prime rib in the bar. Good Irish food for St. Patrick's day. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly and attentive. We've been there many times and will continue to go back.”

“This is roadhouse and family restaurant atmosphere. Prime rib and BBQ ribs were both excellent. Broccoli perfect and not overcooked. Best place we’ve eaten in the area.”
